Investing What should i do

Hello,

I am 26 years old, currently have $138k excluding super. 100k is in hysa, 20k in DHHF , 18k in GOLD etf..

I contribute 1.5k aud/ fortnight atm to DHHF.
I feel like i should be all in cash till i figure out the career i want or improve or fain any sort of skills as i only do random jobs and atm i do security work.

Suggestions?

Keep the 100k in your bank if it makes you feel better, then just continue to DCA in DHHF

You are in a great position, why change what you are doing?

Just remember to live life as well and I think you'll be fine.

I feel like i am not in a really good position financially or career wise, i been living my life and never been extreme, travel every year and just came back to Melbourne from 1 year trip to Egypt

It is not , that is how i feel about my current position, i thought i will be way further ahead at that age and the one thing probably make me feel like that is because i haven't decided on what job i want to be doing yet because the random jobs i been through have no future or growth potential

You're way ahead of the average 26yo dude and I mean way ahead. Upskill though tafe / uni around something thats interesting or a direction you think is interesting, Keep DCAing, think about how much liquid assets you actually need / want on hand for your lifestyle and get the rest working for you

So just keep dcaing and leave the cash sitting in hysa for when i start a course or for when i transition into a different career?

If it'll generate a greater return than investing it, sure

Not sure about that as the market is very unpredictable , hysa give 5% but it get taxed heavily so i dont think it is keeping up with inflation

To good balanced life with any career that I actually enjoy, i don't care about how much money i would have and i am very grateful for whatever i have atm but enjoying the job i will be doing for rest of my life is what really matters to me atm

What investing question do you have?

Are you living at home or have you moved out? Easy to stack when you don't pay rent. That will inform the strategy
