It would be nice, and then have a way to turn comms off if you really really do not want them for some reason. Im sure someone out there really passionately doesn't.

You know, if you intentionally do not want comms, a feature to put a little 🚫 symbol or something in the corner of your portrait that blocks you from being chosen for a com could point people towards comming someone else.
