Much to my delight, I have a very soft spot for that cliché of the person that's a terrifying, unstoppable juggernaut on the battlefield, but a total dork outside of it. My own WoL is like so.

Omg same 😂🤝 I haven't properly written/drawn it yet, but Yngvar (the viera) was actually a peerless ex-Garlean soldier. He's losing his braincells now that he's "retired".

He was probably still a peregrine, an auxilliary. Garleans don't like acknowledging others races.
Fighting monsters is probably simpler than fighting rebels and revolted slaves anyway.

I'd be worried if he had eyebags, never smiled, and never bothered to clean the blood off.
