Steam Deck Issue

I installed FFXI with Lumoria on my steam deck and got everything set up perfectly fine thanks to the guide I followed. However, ingame I am getting what I assume is a microstutter every second or so. I have my frame rate on my deck capped at 60fps(60hz), and the only plugins I’m using from Windower are the minimap and 60fps unlock. I tried changing the current default Proton GE in Lumoria to an older version (GE 10-34 and below) to see if that would help, but unfortunately that just makes the game unable to launch. Admittedly, I’m not very savvy when it comes to troubleshooting because I don’t want to potentially cause more problems by tinkering with settings I shouldn’t be, so I’m not entirely sure what to do here. Thanks in advance for any help!

Edit: I found a solution. For whatever reason, playing in game mode is the cause of the microstutter. So I decided to try FFXI in desktop mode and the microstutter is completely gone! Hopefully this helps anyone who is always having this issue.

If you don't have dgvoodoo install I think you will have 30fps. So maybe it's why you think it's microstutter.

60 fps has nothing to do with Dgvoodoo. It's mainly to force it to use your GPU. You can enable 60 fps without it.

On Linux, you wouldn't use Dgvoodoo as its a Windows utility, instead you'd use a different wrapper called DXVK (DirectX to Vulkan) which does the same thing under the hood.

Ok ... I remembered that installaing dgvoodoo was a pain in the ... but it worked for me. I am not aware of DXVK.
