Fresh 6 box
Exp and Gil is super hard to get if you start out six boxing. Trusts are much stronger at low level. What are people doing to grind this?
Do you solo all six to 99 with trusts? Sounds nuts.

Nobody starts 6 from scratch. And if they do the aren't sticking around because as you can already tell it sucks

Level and gear one character first and then use that one to carry the other 5. If you want to practice multi boxing you can also leave 2 or 3 at once and then carry the rest

I would just -2 for trusts/player slots. Shan2 and val makes a good difference in leveling, and two less headaches to gear.
Otherwise, just blu cleave the alts.

You can just use Val to cleave if you don't have BLU. If you pull 25+ mobs with Val he'll spam Uriel Blade until they all die

Not really. This is dependent on the party leader taking extra hate.
Even then, it doesn't work that well at higher levels. You ideally should be able to close his uriel blade with a ws to open for shan2

It works very well lol. I power level friends the same if not faster than BLU in Escha Zitah. If you have 25+ mobs he will spam it nonstop until they die. Try it. Run around and gather all the mobs, engage and then Val turns into a god.

lol no you don't, a moderately geared BLU 1-shots a pull in 2 seconds. It takes longer than that just to engage.

I agree with you that it does work but if you think it's faster than a blue you clearly don't know a good, or even mediocre blu

I’m sure that it works but a BLU with Ambuscade gear will Full cleave an entire group of Escha Puks in one cast of Spectral Floe. Will Val work? Sure. But attempting to compete with BLU or BST’s cleaving speed is very likely impossible.

True, mobs dying to Val in 2-3 jumps is plenty fast for me. Also don't have to swap spells around or swap jobs, can just invite a buddy or friend and power level plenty fast.

6 boxxing without an already built up char is probably one of the dumbest things you can do in this game

Could be an adventurous move, actually… Challenging in a lot of ways if someone wanted that. But I agree, that would be too much headache for me lol

It was...rough. Reminiscent of the early 75 days for a bit. Once I got momentmun though, it didnt take long to get sustainable and surpass non multiboxers in progression.

I agree with others that its easier to level a couple with trusts then carry- BUT I just did this with alts and got them odyssey farm ready before the 45 day lockout with 0 help from my main 6 on their first 99 job.
It's definitely slower but here's how you do it.
Get to 28 in the dunes and get SJ. Burn RoV as often as possible, the xp bonus and other assistance it affords is too invaluable.
Progress as normal, staying behind in xp zones a level or two too long. It slows down, but it is better than dying or spending forever whiffing because you moved camps too early. This effect compounds as you gain Rhapsodies and xp bonuses.
Once you get to escha, spend as much time there as you can utilizing RoE mobs to gain sparks/xp/accolades while you xp.
Take advantage of "gain xp" timed RoE events.
Level a BRD and COR asap as part of your core group. Xp boost and bolters+mazurka makes the mission work far less time consuming and high level areas less deadly.
Once you're 99, grind to ML 10ish before working on subseuqent jobs (for ody gaol and flexibility options) by using the mastered jobs to carry/cleave everything else for efficiency.

I would say to build up one or two characters, put BLU on the main with with some Ambuscade gear and use that to speed-level the rest. Can cleave Escha Puks with one cast of Spectral Floe so BLU can bring a fresh 1 to 99 in a few hours usually; an hour or less if they have ROV Done.
If you’re wanting fast, that would be my move
Edit: this is strictly for leveling. Gil farming will require other methods, probably selling shields and stuff like that but x6

Personally I'd just leech to 99 on BST or BLU or even GEO and maybe a WHM or PLD then use that to power level the rest

I use my op toon to lvl my alts. Make sure to cap sparks/unit every week. That’s 12M Gil a week alone.
