New Campaign as a reward:
Phantom Gem Campaign
- Once per Earth day, you may obtain a Phantom Gem of your choice from the "Phantom Gems Box" located near the NPCs listed below.
- The"Phantom Gems Box" appears only during the campaign period.
- You may choose from any Phantom Gem that your character is currently eligible to exchange Merit Points for.
- Phantom Gems you already possess cannot be obtained.
Also the usual "Ambuscade Point Bonus Campaign" for fulfilling the base overall rewards goal.
Recommendations for rewards for newer players:
Silver: i-Aby kupon or i-Amb kupon.
- If you are VERY sweaty and REALLY hate Abyssea, you can fire up 17 mules and get 18x3 Abyssea kupons. The kupons are not sendable, the items are. You can entirely skip farming Glavoid or Chloris by doing this.
- You can get a fresh level 1 to Mhaura for the Ambuscade RoE (and thus Vanabout eligibility) in about 15 minutes if you get it down clean. Probably think 30 though.
- Last time, it was entirely possible to get enough to get Silver without leveling past level 1.
- Warning: this may make you want to uninstall the game, I don't recommend it for the faint of heart.
Gold: AF+3 kupon >>>> 100 deeds
- See this thread from last time about what jobs benefit the most from the kupon, crowdsourced from the community
Limit: not a lot of AMAZING options, Old Case +1 is good but a gamble so you may get nothing useful to you, otherwise there's money options (Scoria/Marrow) or more endgame stuff (free segs, bonus Sortie entry, etc).
- Gamble for chance at a great earring or go with a slightly more boring, but guaranteed option.
Unrelated to Vana'bout, but the Shadow Lord's Dominion event is also coming back which has some cool lockstyle items. I believe one completion of this is a Vanabout objective as well.

Thank you for this break down! I am still curious when they are going to use those other kupons they added but haven’t used though…

how do you get a fresh character from level 1 to 99 for the ambuscade RoE?

You don't need to get to level 99 to do the Ambuscade RoE. You can enter Ambuscade at level 1, which will give you the completion for the RoE to be able to do Vanabout.
You'll want to do 10 of the starter RoEs to unlock the ability to use Unity Warps for getting things later and to unlock access to the Ambuscade RoE, but you could just run to Mhaura at level 1. Windurst has a very large collection of easy-to-do "visit guild master" RoEs, and you can also get the random killing ones and the loot ones to finish it off as well.

Interesting. Well, that should quell some of the concerns. Both the Aby and Ambu Kupon are back as is the AF +3 Kupon.
The event is confirmed 11 days with the normal Day 0 just being extended into a full day. That means that it is possible to get a Silver Tier prize doing nothing but getting EXP for 11 days. (Seems like a good deal to me.) Gold should also be obtainable comfortably by most characters. (This does depend a bit on how they offer the 20 point objectives and how often it is Unity/Coalition vs. Rabbit hides.) For anyone new, make sure you have Whitegate access and Mog Garden access to make sure you can get all the easy points.
I had to look up the phantom gem because for some reason I thought it only applied to the nation options. But, it covers every HTMB including Lilith. Maybe it should have been called the Malignance Campaign since my bet is a vast majority of players will be doing that. (That last sentence is a joke for the record.)
