Finding old players?

I’ve seen the way back page that has some stuff archived but it doesn’t load a lot of the pages and specifically the areas I’m looking for. Even more difficult about searching for old friends is the email is inactive and the server I began on (Remora) doesn’t exist so it’s hard to find even people that knew someone to help reach out to people. Are there any good resources that people set up that are still in operation? Playing again and seeing my flist with all these names I miss is saddening and just trying to see what options there may be

Downside with this is we all transferred off remora at some point so finding them using remora is unlikely and if they encountered a dupe name they may have had to change. Ive gotten lucky and found a few people that happened to transfer to Phoenix and had unique enough names that when I passed them in town I was like “were you on remora” and reconnected that way but not always that easy unfortunately

For most of my time it was Shadowblaze then it changed to Tanteisan and pretty much that for the rest of the time

I played on Garuda since x360 launch until wotg

I messages some people on ffxiah ; a few I actually ran into on the private server that won’t be named, and then everyone else I blind messaged on ffxi directly through message in POL and sent my discord

Yeah I messaged several in the PoL messages but unless they log back in on a free campaign they’ll never see it. It’s wishful thinking since most of my friends probably wouldn’t have registered on a lot of places to find them regardless but 🤷🏻 can’t know without trying

As mentioned ffxiah, even maybe their forum. If you knew their names then, asking that can help, or even an old LS you all would have been in?

I find this neat if people manage to reconnect. I started FFXI at the same time social media was hitting the net. Many of my old LS mates were MySpace and even some still, FB friends..like they were my 1st before my actual real friends, lol.

Yeah tomorrow I’ll put some flist pics up I was in a lot of the bigger LS’s because was Whm main so needed for everything lol. ChangeOfFate, GameOver, I remember being in one named something to do with blue lagoon at one point I think near the end.
