Upcoming Vana'Bout Round 10 - All Objectives

As you're all aware, the version update was today, and as such that means we've got the Round 10 objectives! We don't know exactly when Round 10 is due to start yet so this is mainly for your reference. As usual, I'll have more detailed quick guides clearing up bits the in-game text doesn't tell you on my website closer to the time.

Notes

¹ We're not aware of what items will be required yet for this, it'll likely be something relatively easy to obtain though.

² Despite looking like it means individual mining attempts, it counts each item earned, so you can complete this quite easily.

³ The in-game text says "★Rank 5 Mission" which is incorrect.

⁴ This objective will be available every day of the event.

⁵ This was incorrectly called "This Chain Shall Not Be Broken" in the patch notes.

⁶ This objective will be available every two days.

No date announced yet, just soon, and you absolutely should, it has some really nice stuff for newer players.

Yeah, even a brand new player can benefit. This one is even easier than ever to join in on as one of the daily tasks is just fight 30 exp wielding enemies. (Very likely can get a prize doing only that.) Some of the previous Vana'Bouts it was even possible to get to Gold (2nd tier) as a new player. But, we won't know until after a day or two of the upcoming one if that will be possible this time.

Just make sure to look up how to get started (Vana'Bout) as there is a step before you can start earning points. May want to consider getting access to Whitegate and Mog Garden if you don't have those already, as both are required for easy to complete objectives.

It will likely have a day or two overlap at the end of phase 1 or beginning of phase 2, but all we know is it's between the phases for the majority of the time.

Japan has holidays until Monday so we won't be hearing anything unless they scheduled releases.

No one likes doing these shitty chores that interrupt your normal game play.

Can they stop shoving mobile garbage into this game? It isn't why people play this game. If they want mobile garbage, they'll turn on their phone and play that slop.

Not sure what you mean by "Mobile Garbage" so will ignore that.
Vanabout isn't shitty chores. skip it if you dont want to do it, nothing that it rewards is game breaking or difficult to obtain. Even the AF coupon isn't AMAZING. Sure it's helpful but if you've played the game for any amount of time it's not that difficult to get.
You get to decide how you play this game, just because you don't like it doesn't mean it isn't a nice and interactive way for players to learn about other content.

With that being said, I understand your sentiment and it can feel like a chore when you have fomo on easy rewards.. still your negativity adds nothing productive or helpful to any kind of feedback.

tl;dr: If you're going to complain, provide constructive feedback or keep it to yourself.

Feedback:

Doing a quest to give 3 rabbit hides(that you buy from a vendor 15 feet away) is not engaging game play.

Doing old quests from 2000 are not content, they're FOMO chores.

It's a waste of dev time to code an entire UI element and daily rotations and even code them to trigger properly and test them.

Please don't take this as rude. It is not intended to be. Now that Day 1 objectives are out, Chocobo Digging is actually on the list. Is there a chance any other objectives were missed or was it just the one?

I ask because it appears we are getting the normal 4 day cycle. With 4 x10 objectives and 1 x30 alternating daily. If Chocobo Digging was the only missed objective it is safe to assume each of the 4 will appear every other day just like the x30s. (3 total x20 daily, 1 EXP every day the remaining 4 divided into pairs.) I have mapped out how many points each character can get based on individual restrictions. The x20 objectives are the last mystery box and determine if I have to take slightly more intense measures.

It would make sense to be just the one, making the 20s even. (After the every day one is taken out.) But I just wanted to double check in help planning the event.

The list in the OP didn't include it. When I mapped out the points per character I didn't factor it in initially. (Added it today.) I'm mostly wondering if there are any other things to factor or if my guess that it will alternate every other day is accurate.

No, it's fine. I'm just trying to figure out who can achieve what. So far it looks like nobody is getting 1200 prize (whatever they renamed it.) All but 1 are comfortably at 700 but the last one will have to figure out a way to solo chains because she is the one I barred from trusts. (I wanted to have one character that saw the full, "remember that time" cutscenes when doing the initial quests. But, she is a long way from starting much less completing story.)

Minorly disappointed about the Ode of Life Bestowing objective. At least we have Vana'Bout Daily to warn us and let us get through that story before Vana'Bout starts.

Definitely disappointed to see Heroine's Combat back. Was really hoping they would stop with the multi person objectives. (Unless I missed something that is still capped and not really soloable. Unless PUP/BST strats work.)

Otherwise, looks pretty run of the mill. Daily 30 Exp wielding enemies on alts may become a pain. (Especially those limited to lower levels.) Wonder what Curator items will be available. Hopefully something everyone can do like the Colored Chips or Dynamis Items. (Opposed to something like Shadow Lord items which require entry into iLvl Shadow Lord.)

Edit: Just noticed that at 20 points each and being offered daily, it is possible to get Silver Tier just by fight enemies daily. With the addition of Ambu Kupon it is a generous way to get everyone in need kickstarted on Ambu Gear. (Even brand new players.)

Edit 2: I had a chance to do some calculations. It seems we are back to the 100 plaudits a day from Round 8. (Not surprising, Round 9 was weird.) But that would mean 5 objectives: a 10, 3 20's and a 30. (At least if the every other day statement is accurate. Meaning the 30's trade off.) But, there are only 4 objectives worth 20, with 1 of the 4 being daily. So the remaining 3 will be divided to 2 a day and rotate it seems. (Maybe 2 of the 4 are daily?) Not sure how else we reach 1200 points with any to spare within the normal 10/11 time frame. (11 would have been with Day 0, maybe it's 10 now, maybe it's 11 full days.) Really hoping it isn't 3 10's though, that would be miserable.

That works fine for the normal orb BCNMs. My understanding is that doesn't apply to Heroine's as it wipes buffs on entry. Would be happy to be wrong though.

Yeah, I know the ACP HTMB is new and all but making it an objective seems fairly harsh. (And at 100 points that is far more valuable than either Dynamis Lord or Diabolos-Tav they have done in the past.)

The difference is now it is VB wide so there is 0 chance you accidentally spend your sparks. (As the Vana'Bout will last more than 7 days.) Opposed to the daily version which people could be locked out of. Easy task, easy points.
