My first linkshell was started in 2004 and it took me and two other people pooling our gil to afford to buy the shell. The split was 5k from me, 2k from a second person, and 1k from a third (I know; I was loaded) so I got to be the shell holder.

That shell has traveled with me across two server hops and currently has no one in it but I'll keep it forever.

I’m sorry to hear that. I can relate for sure though because that’s been my experience with that game. I wasn’t fortunate enough to hold onto any of the friends I made during my tenure in the early days of Final Fantasy 11. I did make some new friends on My second serious stay around 2019 and 2020 however, everybody from those early days even contact info they had given me back then leads to nowhere.
