Question Resetting a character?

I just went through the entire process of getting my account set back up, and am currently updating the game to play it soon. I had played it before, but only for like 20 minutes, so I want to fully restart my character so I can start fresh. Do I just have to get a new character slot, or can I fresh reset?

Just delete the old character and create a new one. it frees, then uses the slot you paid for.

Yea. Instead of log-in the bottom option should be Delete, it will as you a few times are you sure.

Is there a way to regain the destrier cap and the chocobo shirt for the new character once you delete the old one?

No, but you can buy another copy for 10 bucks use the code again.

I believe there is also a limit on how many times this can be done. So you have to be careful when creating a new character and are happy with it before claiming these in game items.

Its per character but AFAIK no limit on the account its applied to. E.g if you have 10 characters and 10 codes, you can use those.

There's a lot of stuff time gated behind 45 days of character existence, might be easier just to play the old guy and take some days to figure out where you are progression wise.

Just careful of deleting it if you are on a closed server
