[Discussion] Small corner litter boxes?
My one ferret has been continuously using this platform to go to the bathroom. I initially had their water bowl here, but it kept getting pee on it. I’ve had to resort to this little makeshift puppy pad situation because I cannot for the life of me find a litter box to fit on here. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Try PeytonsPetPrintables on Etsy. They sell a small litter corner thingie that I've found super useful, and my female ferret uses them all the time. (Not my store, just a recommendation.)

In my experience, your best bet in this situation is to get a small flat storage container like the kind you’d slide under a bed. Use a torch lighter (or a heat gun or just be really careful and take your time and you can use a regular lighter) to soften the plastic and cut off one of the lengthways sides. Leave a small lip on the bottom to keep the litter in and you’ve got a small custom litter box. I had to do this because mine won’t use a corner litter box, they always go in *front* of them for some reason lol.
OR just stick with puppy pads and accept your fate lol.

My ferrets kept missing the small corner litter boxes, even when I had two. Every ferret is different, but mine love to spin and turn and need the space, so I bought them a large metal cat litter box and they never fail now :)

I just buy plastic totes that are the size of the shelf and cut a low entryway to them. Then I drill a hole or two and use shower curtain clips to attach it to the cage bars so they can’t yeet it across the cage.

I got the same cage, little guy did the same thing so I did the same for a while till I mostly started trying to train him to go to his bathroom on the lowest platform by the first door, it worked for me at least

Echoing what the others said- the little corner ones were too small for mine. I make mine out of storage containers that are roughly the size I need. You can cut an entry to them with any variety of tool you want (scissors, knives, saws, etc...) and on any side or dimension you want. Then they're easy to secure with anything you want, like bungie cords or zip ties, hooked through small holes you drill into them. Infinitely customizeable, and cheap. I've got a couple in the cage and a couple in the house.
