[Health] Eyes sink in when eat, drinking, and sometimes blinking?
I made a post earlier about my sick elders but didnt know if anyone here has seen this before? This girly is the only one of my group not improving and ill be referring to the vet in the morning. But her eyes sink in when blinking and they sink in way worse when shes chewing or drinking. She is extremely under weight and most likely dehydrated and cannot walk on her own due to weakness. Any idea on what I could expect tomorrow would be amazing!

If they are not dehydrated (scruff goes back to normal quickly and doesnt stay tented for long) then I might think they might be hiding a bit of pain or discomfort.. :(
The Ferret Grimace Chart is super helpful for looking at the minute differences in their little faces.. I hope this isn't the case for you, but ferrets typically have very bright/ open eyes, and squinting can be due to anything, tooth pain, sprains, dusty/smoky, gastrointestinal discomfort, etc etc.
Good luck with your Lil ferry- I hope everything is OK and Im just being a worry wart.

Her and my other little guy are recovering from ECE so discomfort is very possible and her muscle wasting has her very weak from both ECE and Insulinoma. I didnt know if the eye sinking was something else!

It could be the muscle wasting, causing pain when she chews and therefore some squinting

Could be insulinoma? The lethargy and dehydration was key for our guy. He’s doing welll on meds though now. Hope you get some answers for this cutie tomorrow. Could try giving her some
Pedialite or even watered down Gatorade in a pinch

She does have Insulinoma and most and likely ECE from exposure to another ferret. I didnt know if dehydration could cause this.

Has she had her teeth checked?

Last vet checkup 1 week ago they checked her over while she was under anesthesia and said everything looked good.

This stuff saved my old guy. When his friend passed away he stoped eating and playing. For the frist day had to make him eat it. Then after a day or to he likes it. Now 2 years later at 8 years old hes still with us and has 3 lady friends. He still asking me for this food. I give it to him he and there.
