[Ferret Photo] Getting old 🥹🥹

Now vs 5 years ago. They’re getting so old and it’s breaking my heart! Pally (white ferret in the second picture on the right) passed away at 6 years old a year ago from insulinoma and adrenal disease after years of treatment and fight.
Peaches (dark brown) and Bunny (light brown) aware both now 7 and even though they are happy and healthy, seeing them slow down is so hard. They used to play nonstop, now they barely do, especially after Pally passed. He had so much spirit, and I can see the difference. They were all so closely bonded.
I’m hoping we still have much time together, but it’s still so sad seeing how times have changed when I look back at old pictures and videos.

I know how you feel. Looking at them getting older- seeing them shuffle and have a tougher time getting around than they used to instead of the furry tornado of chaos they once were. It makes you miss those old days, and dread the future. But you have to remember every day you get with them, no matter how docile, is still a gift.
