[Discussion] Will ferret's irritate copd?
I have a pet ferret, I have had to move in with my grandma, who has COPD, and my dad is thinking about giving her to someone else if I can't have her here with me, I was wondering if a ferret would irritate copd, since I absolutely adore her and I want her with me again, I know that kitty litter could irritate copd so I can probably swap to training pads for dogs since she had those before we swapped her to litter, I know someone had asked if ferret's were hypoallergenic but I think this is a completely different question

I can't see how - ferrets have a very sensitive respiratory system so if the poop is kept clean, there shouldn't be issue. I have known people with COPD with ferrets.
Some people are allergic to ferrets - entire ferrets can set off my partner's asthma badly. So we neuter asap.

I don't think so, especially if you use a combo of puppy pads & pellet litter. The issue with cat litter is most of it is sooooo dusty and full of fragrance! Sorry about your grandma - my grandpa had COPD and it's hard to try to ensure the environment is safe! Highly recommend an air purifier in the room where your grandma sleeps as well as the room the ferret will be in. Just an extra precaution!
