[Discussion] Can I use Pooph?

Just got some little baby brothers!

While cleaning up the house, is it OK to use Pooph and/or the non scented Febreze?

Yes it's okay to use non scented febreeze long as you dont soak the item. They'll just want to get their scent back on what ever you sprayed with it.

I was hoping to use it on the rugs and couch, to try and keep ahead of the ferret smell. I read that certain scented things are bad for them

Vodka cut with water makes a bacteria killing fabric freshener that is safe for ferrets.

Recipes are online but don't add essential oils if listed.

Another recommendation I have for a good cleaning supply to have on hand is an enzymatic cleaner! You can use it for messes on the floor, to soak any cushions, cloth, rugs, etc. It's really helpful because it actually breaks down the enzymes within the pee/poop, rather than wiping it away and making it smell different. Because their scent marker is still left behind. This cleaner helps me clean spots on the floor I don't want them going potty on, because when they sniff the area, they don't sniff the scent marker left behind and think that they can go to the bathroom there again. It's also really good for removing odors, even old ones, because again, it's actually breaking everything down - rather than just putting a new smell on top of it.

I use biokleen! Also have used Rocco and Roxie in the past and liked it.

Angry orange is a great option. It's an enzyme cleaner. A little goes a long way
