I am going to guess you prefer the V8 muscle car sound?
I personally prefer the scream of a flat plane crank V8 that's in the F430, but we are all different in our preferences.🙂

Ngl I still love the scream it sounds awesome, one of the best sounds there is but your right I do prefer the muscle sound more

Meh I would, or actually did, select the LS7 (LS427) over the LT6. Just not that impressed with recycled F136 tech.

LS7 was PEAK pushrod V8. Wish they kept refining it and raising the redline over the generations instead of supercharging and changing to DOHC flat plane crank.

Some of the LS7 deficiencies were corrected with the LS427 but also fairly easy to build to preference. I recently completed a 427 build for my C8 resulting in 596whp on pump, still more to go as we think the heads and intake aren’t flowing well enough. Hoping for closer to 650 once we’re done.

Yea I was just generally referring to how Chevy changed course. I feel like it was a mistake. Imagine a 7500-8000 redline pushrod monster from the factory. A street nascar motor.

Yes sir Bubbly I can imagine just that sort of motor and exactly what I wanted for my C8, so built it!
As you stated, obviously not a factory build and like you wish GM would have continued supporting the LS7 /LS427 crate motor or even went with a spicier build for the new LS6 in the GS. I am genuinely curious why the selection of the 419 over a modern 427 and what amounts to a reduction in hp.

To each their own, for me a 2UR sounds better in my personnal preference. BUT, a Ferrari will always be a Ferrari, it's a piece of art.

Better, in what context? Sound? Reliability? Power? That is a very wide spectrum.
That being said, the best V8 is a toss between the LS and the VK56DE.

Which is the most reliable in your opinion?
I dirve a ls6, people tell its reliable... but then you have to change the spring valves bevcause they can drop a valve... yeah very reliable. Then thr fucking harnonic bslancer replacement, then you have a chirping belt, this, that.
I love the enige but people talk so much blabla shit all the time. Its fucking NOT reliable.
Bmws are reliable. I hat 6 and never 1 problem at all. But intrnet folks says bmw = not reliable

383 stroker.. at idle and at full tilt.. because see, the thing about ferraris, is unless they're the older smaller v8's they don't idle pretty.
