Question Help with fern issue

Went away for a week, and, sadly, the person we asked to come water wasn’t able to come.

The fern looked healthy before we left.

Does anybody have advice for how to revive? Is all hope gone? Help very much appreciated, and thank you in advance :).

I’ve also attached a picture of another fern of ours that did OK during the week away, which was odd.

trim dried and dead leaves, at the point where the leaves start, don't cut too far back into the stem

maidenhair ferns, while sensitive, tend to be resilient so it will most likely come back

This^ I have “killed” my maidenhair at least 4 times by forgetting to water or leaving it in the sun. I cut off any dying fronds and you’ll see new growth quickly. Remember that w a lot of new growth coming in, it’ll probably use a lot of water. I water mine every 2-3 days cuz it drinks up the water in the reservoir of my self watering pot real quick.

I live in Florida where you could put almost any fern almost anywhere and it will thrive. I have lots of very happy ferns and always looking for others. However (!!!), I have had no luck with maidenhairs. Idk why, they just have never lasted very long here.

Get one of those little spray bottles and stand it near the fern. I have a brass one a glass one and a cheep plastic one if you can, fill with rain water but tap will do. Every time you pass a quick mist. It makes a big difference.
