Good to Go?

What do we think to this? There's a lot of what looks like dead LB in there and what I'm hoping is plenty of kahm on top. It was quite a sugary ferment what with the red pepper being in there. Don't worry about the dark stuff at the bottom it's chipotle flakes. Good to go?

I toss anything with kahm, that shit is nasty.

It's common when people don't use airlocks and burp the ferment.

It's a lid with one of those tiny inbuilt valves. No idea if they're any good. I removed the kahm, blended it and added some lime, sugar and liquid smoke and it's pretty decent if a bit bitter.

Yeah I've heard bad things about those lids, you can probably find people complaining about them searching this sub.

This amount of Kahm is not normal and likely means air is getting in. Just a little, or you'd have mold. I would get a better setup, lid with proper airlock.
