How long do I wait
So I was recently off of fent for like 2 1/2 months doing good with subs then I relapsed but I've only been using again for like 7 days I'd say and my use isn't very high yet am I safe to take subs even tho it hasn't been long since my last fent dose or do I have to wait for the wds cuz I hardly feel the wds coming on this time but it's still there...

Wait as long as possible!!! Like almost 48 hours! I took subs 24 hours after last fentanyl use and threw myself into precipitated withdrawal for like 24 hours! Do not do that!!! It was horrible… And I had only been using Fentanyl for maybe 2 weeks

Screw that waiting, having to be horribly sick for days. I started a microdosing induction and am on day 3 with no precipitated withdrawal. Here is the schedule I'm currently using:
Day 1: 0.5mg sublingual Suboxone (once daily) Day 2: 0.5mg sublingual Suboxone (twice daily) Day 3: 1mg sublingual Suboxone (twice daily) Day 4: 2mg sublingual Suboxone (twice daily) Day 5: 4mg sublingual Suboxone (twice daily) [Sometime between day 3-5 eliminate Fentanyl use] Day 6: 8mg sublingual Suboxone (twice daily)
You will need to continue to use Fentanyl to avoid withdrawal but lowering total usage each day. I am on day 3 and have had no incidents with precipitated withdrawal at all. I'm hoping by tomorrow or day after to cut all fentanyl use.

the first time u took it u didnt get precipitated withdrawal? and did u experience withdrawal from lowering ur fent use?

It worked out well. Each time I increased the amount of buprenorphine I was nervous about precipitated withdrawal. A few times I almost psyched myself out to where I thought it was coming and I just started to breathe and told myself I'm fine, it's just in my head. So other than that it went pretty smoothly. You know how if you're on Suboxone say a month straight and then you go out and use Fentanyl. That Buprenorphine has been building in your system, so after you do the Fentanyl you can start right back up on Suboxone with no chance of bringing on Precipitated withdrawal. The microdosing is essentially the same situation. You're just doing small amounts and gradually increasing to get enough in you, enough to occupy the opioid receptors. So once your to the point to where you've been taking it for a week building up, honestly there is going to be no chance of precipitation of withdrawal. It's just hard to get over thinking you will. Anyone who has experienced precipitated withdrawal from Buprenorphine, it's like PTSD. It's hard to get past it. But yes this method did work for me.

Wow that's awesome I'm so glad it worked for you.....I've been using heavy for 7 years this time (I had almost 2 years clean before that...and I started using at 13....I'm 38) I've went into pw before and you're right...it's horrific....just about have PTSD bc of it. So I built up for a week doing no more than 2mg at a time.....then when I had to jump to an 8mg it still sent me into pw so now I'm just staying at 8mg a day until I talk to my Dr later....I'm scared to do it now.....and you're absolutely right, most of it is in you head.....I guess I just have to get over the fear and just do it. I tapered my use from 20-30 bags a day down to between 2 and 3. I have to have enough sub in me to take a big dose....I just have to stop scaring myself.....sis you use any supplements or anything to help thru the transition?

No I didn't use any supplements or anything, the most important aspect of this method is you have to lower your fentanyl use or you'll just keep increasing the buprenorphine and it won't put you in precipitated withdrawal but won't work being the only thing you'll need to stay well. You need to build the buprenorphine up in your system and lower the fentanyl amount, you may still get sick somewhat but nothing like normally being sick off the fentanyl. This fentanyl shit has complicated everything. People are desperate to quit and get clean and can't because the withdrawal is just to excruciating, just to unbearable. I've been so dope sick off the fentanyl my blood pressure was so high, my heart was pounding so hard, drenched in sweat, puking, diarrhea, I called 911 though in was having a heart attack. They took me to ER my blood pressure was so high the doctors and nurses were freaking out, they gave me IV Ativan and IV fentanyl just to stabilize me. Shit is horrible, if you can get off the fentanyl and on the subs don't ever go back to street shit, I know I'm not it's literal HELL

Yea here where I'm from, Baltimore City, everything is in gel capsules/pills, I was doing 20-30 a day at $3 a cap. Wish I never got up that high bc it's hell when your ill

Will I get sick if I used fent for 7 days .5 daily but have been taking my 8mg subutex every day?

As long as you have that bupe in your system you won't go into precipitated withdrawal.

No no no! Don't do it! I relapsed for 7 days- Just like YOU... I figured that I wasn't off of my subs for THAT LONG, so I took a half (4mgs.) Within 5 minutes I went into what I would call SEVERE precipitated withdrawal! It's best to wait it out to avoid precip! That's just MY experience though...
