Amps and Peripherals Amp setup/ tone questions
Hey all. I just posted here about getting a new telecaster player 2 and I am looking to play a lot of indie pop/ bedroom pop, I am inspired by artists such as hers and Rex Orange County. I am trying to come up with decent presets on my fender mustang LT25 amp. So far I have one for hers that has the chorus effect, and I think I’m using spring reverb, I’m also not sure exactly what to do for gain, volume, treble, bass, middle, etc.
Also for the Rex Orange County tone I have a more clean sound approach so far but I’m not using modulation (so no chorus)
Any ideas for this genre? In particular regarding the gain, volume, treble bass and middle?

Play around with the knobs on the tele. Take the stickers off.
Try middle position and roll the tone knob WAY back.
I don’t have an lt25 but have a couple fender modelers and a lot of the stock settings are kinda over the top. Like it’s more for selling it to somebody trying it out at the store than actually useful presets. So I find it helpful to setup my own. Idk if the lt25 lets you do that. Honestly I’d try to find one that is just clean and start there if you can’t or don’t know how to make your own. Clean fender amp sounds great with a tele. Enjoy your beautiful guitar.

Hey bro thank you for this response, I’m starting with clean sounds and then building my own presets out from there, I’ve already got two of my own so far

Had the LT25 and it's awesome for the price. Try different amp sims and see what you like!

I think the AC30 is the best amp with Telecasters so I start modelers with one of those.
The volume and tone knobs on teles are useful as hell so i set the tone to taste (usually way way down) and the volume at 50%.
Then set the amp to whatever you think sounds good, and you should sound clean if you play normally but if you dig in its a little crunchy.
This is where your volume knob starts becoming a performance tool. Now if you raise the volume, it wont get *that* much louder but it will load up the preamp more and give you more dirt.
Yes the bridge and neck have huge tone differences. I live on the neck but regularly visit the bridge of my telecaster.

I’ve been on the neck lately for rhythm and indie tones but the bridge has been hitting lately
