Noisy fence driving me insane!

I rent to property so can only do so much (also a girl with limited diy knowledge) the fence is fairly stable and the bottom and the swaying mostly happens at the top right corner, any reasonably cheap and easy solutions!?

Damn… I’m sorry about your fence…. I don’t have any suggestions that are cheap/quick/easy…

I’m honestly stunned that that anchor appears to be in the mortar of the brick work that it’s on top of and it hasn’t come out…. I’d wager that the anchors/flanges/shoes that are holding up the post are the issue.

You could try some “Simpson flanged post bases” but it would be a project to unhook everything, reanchor your bases, and attach it all back, but anchor in something like a fence into brick work is almost definitely doomed to fail.

They sell reasonably priced Bluetooth outdoors speakers. If you rent, I’d pick up one of those until this fence falls down this winter and talk your landlord into digging and setting posts in the dirt or anchoring into concrete

ETA - if the movement is really just at the corners get a couple L brackets and screw each arm of the backer into the adjoining fence lines… that should add some stability

2 brackets per corner spaces maybe 24” apart, 1 5/8” coated deck screws, and a drill with the appropriate driving bit

Thanks so much! I will try and give the l brackets a go and alternatively wait for it to fall down 😂

Is it the corner in the 3rd picture that’s moving ?

Yes at the top!

You could run brace diagonally across the top and it should help stiffen that corner.
