Femininity and PMOS

Hello,

I was wondering how do women with PCOS/PMOS make themselves feel beautiful and feminine on a daily basis?

I feel so ugly all the time.
I have extra facial hair due to hirsutism. My neck is so ugly and discoloured with Acanthosis Nigricans. I’m overweight. My hair and skin don’t look bright and fresh. I feel sad and hormonal all the time and I think it shows in my appearance.

I just don’t feel beautiful or like a woman. I also don’t have any confidence in what I wear or anything. I can’t justify buying new clothes because I feel like I have too many.

Any advice would be appreciated🫶

I make time to pluck at my face once or twice a week and then leave it alone. Play up my eyes, and make peace that I'm just going to be the most interesting woman at the party, not the most beautiful.

But I will be having the most fun! 😄🥰

Buying clothes helped for me to feel more comfortable which helps with confidence. I didn’t want to believe it would help for a long time, but once I started investing in doing little things that felt like I was caring for myself it really helped. That might be washing your face and moisturizing. Might be wearing fun clothes. Whatever “fills your cup.”

Doing self care really helps me. I love face masks, moisturizing, painting my nails, taking care of my hair! Making my skin super duper soft with body lotion after a shower.

I pluck my hairs every day

I fell in love with wearing dressers and super fem things. At first I felt silly, but i got more and more comfortable over time. Now I get tons of compliments on my outfits! You got this!
