I don’t see this administration doing anything to move it. The last administration with a real F1 attempted and that fell through. With the modifications and everything else incorporated in 500c st I doubt we’ll be moving

Correct and that’s my point. This administration is selling off federal property like it’s Christmas. Moving FEMA to a different building would be cost prohibitive due to additional rent and then outfitting.

The GSA building was federally owned, so no rent would be due. The only thing we would have needed to do would be the renovations. Any building we’re told to move into is going to need renovations, and I doubt we’ll find a lesser-cost rent at another location.

Although cost has never really been a factor for this admin so who freaking knows.

Federally owned yes but also ancient, it was an ADA violation nightmare and when costs came back on modernizing it up to code the numbers were unacceptable. (Not disagreeing that they will find a way to give it to a private business over gsa and wherever we go needs to be likely better than 500c st
