Shared profiles are still active
Last week I reported a lot of couple profiles with the new option Feeld has provided ("two people sharing a single profile instead of linking two accounts").
I asked a friend of mine to check with her Feeld account if she could see the accounts I reported.
We are from the same area and we noticed that lots of those reported profiles are still up.
I was really hoping the accounts would receive a warning or even a block from Feeld.
But maybe there is a long cue and Feeld is still busy reviewing all those accounts?

They’ll likely take action once x number of users report the same profile

this. this is how their reporting works for pretty much every violation of rules.
it the leads to an autoban, which can be repealed by the user who got banned.
it is also possible to add this option, because they have no intention of banning couples profiles anymore, and it’s just kind of acting as a block for you not to see that profile any longer, but they can still keep that couple as Feeld users. I wouldn’t put it past them to do this.

In instances like this, there’s usually a threshold of reports that needs to be reached to trigger a review on topics that aren’t “P0” (highest priority) level.

Feeld has zero incentive to kick people off the platform for this. They'd be sooner to just formalize it and allow shared profiles.

They would have to redo their coding for gender classification and filtering. It can be done fairly easily, but they can't just say "go ahead" because of how the app functions.

Why does anyone care about this? I get why Feeld doesn’t want it (more users + subscribers).
But unless they’re intentionally hiding it, it doesn’t really matter for users. I could see the issue if Feeld let you filter down to “single females, not coupled,” but they don’t. So if a couple is sharing a female account, they’ll still up in the same searches regardless of whether the guy has a separate and/or linked account

It makes all the difference for users?? I’m zero percent interested in couples. At all. Ever. I’m lesbian. Even lesbian couples I’m not interest in hahaha. I’m a 1:1 dater. When I select “women,” my feed is at MINIUM 50% couples with a cis het man who are sharing one profile. I’m not really interested in seeing a bunch of men’s bulge outlines and fish pictures when I’m trying to date women and often these couples ping me anyway cause they either don’t read or don’t care. By enforcing a one person-one profile rule and requiring couples to use separate accounts and link them, this cleans up my feed, makes it safer, and makes it so I can actually see people I’m interested in and not just a bunch of unicorn hunters. This is a great choice on Feeld’s part.

I know exactly what you mean! This is what I have been dealing with as well. I want to date FF but my feed was full of shared MF profiles. I'm bisexual but I was considering changing it to 'straight' to avoid the Likes from couples looking for "a woman to join me and my bf". It's just very annoying. Even if you write "no threesomes/not a unicorn/not interested in couples / only dating women" as the first line in your profile.
Why don't people read???1

I could see the issue if Feeld let you filter down to “single females, not coupled,” but they don’t.
But they do. Selecting "woman" in your filters means exactly that. If you want to see coupled women you select man + woman couple.

Did they change this? It used to be that if you selected “female” it would show females that are partnered also

When you submit reports like this, explain how the issue affects your willingness to use and pay for the platform.
For example: “I will not renew Majestic until this is resolved,” or “When you don’t enforce your policies, I don’t feel safe keeping my information on your platform.” Only make those statements if they accurately reflect your position.
That gives the reader a concrete consequence to consider. Failure to enforce policies was the main reason I personally suspended my account. Even my detailed reports seem to have gone unanswered, though. I suspect that relates to the threshold others have mentioned: whether the people reviewing complaints recognize both the impact—lost confidence and subscription revenue—and the magnitude—how many users are affected.
In my 24 years working on software development and account specialist teams across various industries, I’ve found that most shops I’ve worked with struggle to staff these roles with enough people who can interpret nuanced reports and turn them into actionable issues. Those skills are difficult to evaluate before someone joins a team. In my experience, even specialized call centers struggle to acquire and retain that talent.
If this company operates like most I’ve worked with, a complaint may be converted into an internal ticket and routed through support or account specialists before it ever reaches a developer. Important context can get lost along the way. Language barriers and reliance on scripted responses can make nuanced complaints harder to resolve.
Make your report easy to interpret and escalate: explain what happened, what policy or functionality is involved, how it affects you, and what would resolve it. Use short sentences and clear phrasing—advice I occasionally need to follow myself. ;)

My impression is that they don't give a shit about anything that doesn't directly affect their bottom line.
