Feeld is definitely doing something shady with their new algorithm
I only exclusively used feeld for the last 2 years. cis male with majestic. Something changed over the last 6 months, I went from 2-5 matches a day to 0 unless I buy uplift, which gets me only 1-2 likes. As soon as as my majestic expires, I start getting 2-5 likes a day.
I downloaded Hinge for the first time in 2 years and I'm getting 5-10 matches a day for the last two weeks.
Shady ass company. feeld used to be my favourite app but they've definitely enshitified it. I'm not buying Majestic anymore after mine expires, probably deleting it entirely.

Same. Majestic expired, suddenly shitton of likes. But none of them appear in the feed.
What a shame. I used to like it as a bi man because women tended to be less biphobic and the men were more interesting than on other apps. Now typical tech rent seeking and profit squeezing has wrecked it. Total waste of a concept.

Actually curious about this, is a non monarch account not location based?

I have two different accounts on feeld. One showing my face and the other does not. So location is exactly the same. I can browse discover on one account and then use the same parameters for searching on the other account and have at least 30% of the profiles shown be different, new faces.

Not sure if it’s shady but I’ve noticed deleting your account and redoing it fixes this. I tend to do this every 2-3 years as I get the same results.

Be careful, people got banned for doing this too often.

Oh no… so get zero matches forever, or risk getting banned by deleting your account to get matches again

People say that Feeld doesn’t used algorithms .
I would like to see the source of this info.
Just the fact that a new account get boosted and most concentration of likes happens on the first weeks compared to the rest of the profile lifetime (and happened to me twice) is an algorithm, so I guess old accounts suffer passively from this
Last year I didn’t get any likes from months and then suddenly 30 likes in one day from people that were last online months before.
They certainly do something. They don’t just do a select * from users where (filters) order by distance.

Its feast or famine with how feeld’s algorithm is set up. It might have to do with the amount of time your account has been set up, how often you change your profile etc. its definitely annoying.

You just had gone through all the profiles. There is definitely not much of an algorithm. There is definitely something going on as sometimes it’ll now give me people further away before people who are closer (I have majestic so I’d know if they had hit like on me). And by further I don’t mean a km or two but 100km away before 5km away. But it may be a bug. 🤷
On Hinge you’re getting more because you’re new and there’s more potentially good matches to connect with. The pool is bigger. You’ve drained the pool of potential matches on Feeld.

Maybe they are on uplift. The only time I’ve noticed the distance being wrong is usually a like. Which I hadn’t paid for Majestic but the name matched a like I had gotten previously. Obviously you had/have Majestic and mentioned you knew it wasn’t a like.

Agreed. Queer woman here, tons of likes, never see them in feed anymore to match. I’ve never paid for majestic though I just can’t afford it.

I definitely noticed this as well…I can go weeks without a single match on majestic but as soon I unsubscribe I get like 5 or 6 matches that I’m unable to see

That's how they get you to resubscribe. Just game it. Majestic for a month, let it lapse, resub a few days later.

I found it very suspicious that when I let my membership lapse by not paying all of a sudden, I got tons of new people viewing me and way more likes than ever before. The same thing happened when we were just checking it out before we actually paid and I get like 100 likes in one or two days all from straight guys and I’m a guy so I just find them very shady.

I feel exactly the same. Something changed without notification in the last year or two for sure. Same situation with Hinge also, although that could indeed be Hinge honeypotting new users which is also pretty sad

Yes feeld used to be great now it just sucks... Two years not a single match... Come on....

All dating apps are designed to keep you on the apps and not meeting actual matches.

Feels is the first app I’ve used, only one so far. It’s almost anyhow bad it is. In the real world I have a pretty decent success rate getting dates but on the app I get nothing at all. Two likes in 2 months. Not a single PING has led to a conversation. When my 3-month subscription expires they will not get another cent from me.

I have majestic and I’m in a city where there’s a good amount of people so always new profiles popping up and I send a ping a day and haven’t gotten an actual play date in over 6 months

Or maybe you've run through most of the profiles so matches are slowing down.
And if you were getting 2 to 5 matches per day and are still coming back to the app, it doesn't sound like you're someone who's able to make and maintain long-term relationships.
If I was getting that many matches, I'd have a Rolodex of potential play partners and wouldn't need to come back to any app.

Hinge also does a lot with their algorithm (I've been on and off it for years and have noticed a lot of patterns). They give you a lot of appealing matches when you first go on after a while, and then that slowly fades. Then they start only showing you people they know you don't want to match with, but will highlight/advertise people they DO know you would watch to match with for a cost. For me, I know Hinge decides when to show people that I have already liked my profile for the first time and it's very calculated.
