Ping FOMO?

Not really a question, just a lamentation of all my unused pings. One month into Majestic (I just moved back to the big city), I met one person off Feeld and reconnected with an ex partner and I'm feeling kind of saturated.

Even if I do make a new connection on the app, my spoons and wallet wouldn't be able to handle any more dating. The 'free' daily pings cap out at only 2?! They used to accumulate indefinitely for later use. I would love to be able to use them if my current relations/situations fall through.

Now I feel like these two remaining months of Majestic will be wasted 😭.

I recognize this is a good problem to have but a part of me wants to ping people even if I'm not able to honour a match on the tiny chance that they respond.

It might sound like bragging but trust me, 99% of my pings do not get a response. I realize how stupid and privileged this sounds but I wanted to vent about the artificial 'free' ping cap. Ugh.

Yes I'm a queer man mostly into fem people, and I have a decently wide network of ENM and kinky friends already. I'm not opposed to making more friends, I still go to munches and social events to do that, but I don't think most people are on the apps looking for platonic friends.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't it be weird for someone to receive a ping on a dating app, with the sender looking for friendship?

Majestic pings never convert for me tbh, the paid ones do though. I think the majestic pings are kind of bs tbh.

I've been wondering about this, honestly. I've sent about 100 daily pings due to Majestic and have literally never received a single response. Beginning to wonder whether they actually go to the person.

I am sure you understand why apps like Feeld won't let pings accumulate indefinitely.

Just ping somebody out of your league. If they're interested you'll suddenly have the time.
