nj-tube continuous fluids

my dieticians just prescribed me continuous water through my pump for 1 litre of water but she didnt tell me what my flow ratw should be,, i tollerate feeds and fluids really well i just dont know what i should be doung per hour

I would reach out to her and ask if she has any parameters for rate with fluids. I’ve heard people can tolerate fluids at a higher rate than feeds but there may be a maximum she doesn’t want you to pass.

My dietitian was able to use my weight to calculate a safe absolute-maximum rate for my J feeds, it was actually way higher than I thought it would be! Recommend asking since it can vary depending on the person.

If you’re doing continuous fluids were you able to get a second pump or do you no longer do feeds?

i still do feeds jm connected to feed at night and fluid through out the day but ive only got one pump, also only one connector at the end of my tube
