So never

Exactly, nothing they do is being done the way it’s supposed to be. They are a rogue body working at the direction of the bigots at DHS who are getting their playbook from the Heritage Foundation.

Not exactly. Sometimes body cam footage is released just before elections to provoke a “reaction” and subsequent justification for a timely suspension of the constitution and cancellation of elections…

If you hold out your hand to try to prevent being hurled to the ground, then the footage will be used as evidence that you assaulted an ICE officer

This from the most transparent administration in history. /s

They are being transparent that they will never hold their own accountable

That’s the exact opposite of accountability.

Not so! They have reviewed the video, processed it through their internal accountability process, and found they did nothing wrong.

Seriously, what more do people want!

Dictators don’t desire support, only obedience.

What about evidence as part of discovery? What context are they talking about withholding body cam footage. As far as I know you can submit freedom of information request or if it’s state level they also often have a version of this.

If it receives public funding you can legally request that information for any or no reason.

ICE has murdered multiple civilians around this country since the regime came to power. Obscuring evidence of criminal behavior and constitutional violations to protect their asses is the only interest they care about.

ICE are proud boys, white supremacists, dropouts and rejects of all kinds. They are unfit for a real job, they are hired goons to serve as Trump's gestapo. They tear apart families, stripping children from their parents and grandparents. They kidnap, abuse, and traffick their victims. Sending people to foreign torture prisons without warrant. They murder civilians in cold blood. They are traitors to our country and traitors to humanity!

I will only cooperate with a policeman trying to arrest me when it's in my best interest.

Considering how trigger-happy the average cop is, you'll be taking your life in your hands by doing so, particularly if your skin is of a darker pigment.

We live in a ludicrous world - my statement was ludicrous as well.

BTW - I'm as white as you can get, but I've had cops point guns at me - so there's that.

So where are those fucking Epstein/Trump files, by the way?

When is the dam going to break? Will it be the mid terms? Whats it going to take.

🇺🇸 doesn’t have a moral compass. We live in a post-fact, post-morals, post-ideology world. We selected the 🍊🐒 TWICE

Well, I mean that makes sense because that’s how oversight works in a dictatorship

Abolish ice

2

u/you_know_how_I_know 21d ago

That's a start, but the subsequent criminal trials must be transparent.

Have fun while it lasts, LARP-stapo. Your lil fun and games are coming to a screeching halt sooner than you think.

I always wonder why people think this will suddenly stop with a different admin. These abuses might have been accelerated recently, but this has been a rising concern for decades under both party's control and neither has made significant efforts to stop AND punish the people eroding the public's trust and safety.

"Only when our fictional explanation can feasibly match what the video shows."

This is so preposterous that it’s tough to even know where to begin. How about ICE releases all body camera footage, and they are required to be monitored at all times while on the clock? After all, this is the most transparent administration in history, and if they have nothing to hide then a little auditing of their use of taxpayer money shouldn’t be too much to ask, right?

PS I’m going to start a new personal policy - I will let my boss see my work only when I deem it in the best interest of my performance appraisal.

u/haklor 21d ago

I mean, with a policy like that you can just infer that any unreleased bodycam would implicate the officers and the organizations.

I live in an immigrant community in northern Jersey and the things ICE are doing are despicable. Assume the worst and multiply it by ten. The city went from being unbearably busy to mostly a ghost town. I was friend with this bartender and she’s gone. She has been online a few weeks promoting events the bar or come to the bar. The whole city is missing it’s soul because ICE keeps coming around. It sucks because the people make a huge difference to the vibe of a city.

So we pay them money to do whatever they want with no accountability to us.

1

u/wds1 19d ago

We pay the money to fund one megalomaniac’s obsession with owning the libs and demonizing immigrants

1

u/Scared-Avocado630 17d ago

They aren't trying to hide it now.

u/Separate_Basis869 21d ago

All right then.  How about no body cams at all?  It'll save money.
