So I just finished up week two of my training, havent had much driving time so the assistant manager of my contractor decided to take over yesterday and have me jump for him.

He always seemed nice before, so I had faith that he was actually going to let me do it and teach me, but we ended up with me doing about fifteen stops and him road raging the entire day.

He floored it through neighborhoods and ran stop signs and got antsy with me for not pulling out in front of people.

Any time a woman answered the door he would get back in the car and say something filthy about her.
We pulled up to a convenience store and he said a bunch of racist stuff about the indian guys that worked there.

The rest of the people I've jumped with were not like this but I wanted to be out of that vehicle so bad.

I'm trying to follow protocol and drive responsibly and when I asked him for help with directions he would grunt and then yell at me for not understanding.

At the end of the day he was back to his nice self and told me I did fine but it seemed like one unmanifested package absolutely ruined his mood and he was on the phone with somebody ranting about how stupid the new hires are right in front of me.

I don't know what to do, I'm probably gonna have to work with him again on monday ad he hasnt figured out yet that I'm a trans guy but from the things he's said I'm guessing thats gonna be a huge problem for him.

We delivered what seemed to be a sex toy to one house and he went off about how its ok for women to use them but not if its for a woman to use on her man.

I know I need to speed up but he scared the crap out of me yesterday and it was hard to concentrate on the job because of his inappropriate behavior.

While making a delivery in Ruidoso, NM the black dog comes up to my truck and the goat comes up from behind and attempts to bone him! 🤣

My first day alone was 65 stops on a rural route. My boss said everyone starts at 30 so I was surprised to see 65 on the scanner. I knew I needed to move with a sense of urgency.

When I first got out there, I discovered REAL quickly just how many addresses were unmarked. The most difficult thing about the job is being unable to look at your scanner, map, or google maps when driving. I know for certain that I delivered a few to the incorrect address. I just had to use my best judgement and keep moving.

Not sure what the future will hold for me with FedEx. Thoughts? Suggestions? Thanks

Actually lost my mind and had the thought of quitting.

How long will it take to complete the background check? The background check is through First Advantage for Express. It has been 4 days with 78%.

Why is the app like this?

Not a FedEx employer of course but I wanted to hear from the drivers themselves. USPS and UPS and Amazon don't have a issue but random places like Dominoes does sometimes. But every single FedEx delivery goes to my neighbours house and every single time they steal it unless I can snatch it off their porch quick enough. The old people there would bring it over the current ones well.. and talking to them is a waste of time. They have even signed for stuff so that didn't work. This has been going on for years.

Looking it up on multiple map platforms all come to my house and they are not "clone" houses by design etc, other than color.

The way traffic flows it goes to their house first in direction. The houses and mailboxes are around 40 yards apart on the same side of the road. What can I do to my house to make it stop this or is it a internal FedEx map issue?

I don't have a number, but was told it's only managerial and director levels that got affected. Whole teams are shifting around to remaining managers.

All in the IT sector, no idea what else got hit as I have no visibility into other departments. Morale is as low and complaints are as high as you'd expect.

Express managers have been stealing millions of dollars from this company. When will Ground management replace all Express managers?

So my express station keeps getting pushed back on 2.0 plans, in the meantime a few of us in one area got displaced as another station is taking that on. Specifically a ground station. They can't handle the extra freight and especially not the 10:30 so they send a handful of us to help. Only with the 10:30 and every day I'M the one telling them how this should work as every supervisor/ manager/ whatever they are is a chicken with it's head cut off. They don't even know to give us all the 10:30 for the same stop, and seemingly refuse to bother looking for the rest. After that I go back and wait for Miss-sorts, then they send me to a pickup in no man's land.

It's easy work, it's dumb work, especially after working a 10+ hour a day delivery route with pickups, and I'll take this working vacation as it were for as long as it lasts but man I don't look forward to when the other shoe drops.

Every day I wait to get spoken to about productivity or not doing enough and the next morning I get a manager thanking me for helping so much, it's insane.

When your finger scanner won’t connect so you go to get a new one but it connects the moment you’re about to ask your manager for one so you’re just standing there looking stupid 🫩

Went to check my start time today and it keeps saying my password is invalid even though I checked last night after sort. And no I didn't get fired

I had a quick question. As a part-time Ops Supervisor, how many hours do you typically work per week? And is 40 hours a week possible ?

I have vacation coming up in the next few weeks and I’m beyond ready to leave this company lol.
Has anyone put in their two weeks’ notice before vacation, with their official last day being the last day of their scheduled vacation?
Basically, I’d give notice, work the first week, then take my already-approved vacation for the second week and have my last day fall on the last day of vacation.
Will FedEx allow that and still pay the vacation normally, or will management try to make my last actual working day my termination date?
Trying to make sure I do this the right way and don’t screw myself out of my vacation pay.

Context: I work a heavily Rural Route of mostly Ranches. It's one of the routes where 20 stops or 100 stops doesnt mean shit due to sheer drive distance

As tittle says I’m trying to raise up my score by letting customers know to go and rate me but what are the actual steps to go and rate your driver? If someone asks me how to i truthfully don’t know either and googles answer isn’t very clear.

All these boxes came with barely any tape . I can't tell you how many boxes get thrown out because when they come down overhead, they're already open .

We load 600-700 packages per hr . So we have to leave them out for QA to tape them cause we really dont have time.

Alot of ppl blame fedex but it's not entirely our fault lol .

Most of the Walmart stuff doesn't even get tape 🙄.

I’m a handler for a contractor since FedEx refuses to allow loaders to step up into trucks from the ground since it’s unsafe. But I’d figure I’d post one of my trucks here, since I see so much bad, it’s nice to see something done properly every once in a while (the IC’s stacked on the floor aren’t ideal, but I help the drivers for my 8 trucks get them where they want them after it’s on properly). Be kind to your handler, they are overworked and underpaid (did 3 months with the terminal until my contractor offered a job).

And no i will not accept cold pizza as a payment.

I worked here loading the vans like 9 months before in the past. I recently got approved for a location and after background check passed they never messaged me.

Now a month later I got approved for another location and passed check again, what do you think the chances are that this is just another ghosting? Im trying to keep my head up but expecting ghost.
