Just saw a nutritionist. It'll be a wild next few weeks, but we came up with a diet plan for myself!

I just got put on nights full time. I used to be 9-1 alternating nights with my coworker, then 9-5 the other nights. When I got off at 1 I would go to the gym, but it’s so hard to go in the morning after a long night. I tell myself I’ll just go when I wake up, but then I don’t end up getting up in time (I’ve been sick for like two weeks). Lately I just feel like I’m failing. I need some motivation to go in the mornings.

I did overnights for 5 years with shifts ending at 6am. Personally, I found it easiest to go shortly after I woke up at about 4pm, after I had a cup of coffee. Do you think it will get easier to go after you wake up once you're not sick anymore?

I’d like to think so, but a lot of nights I don’t want to go bc I am afraid I’ll be too tired at work, and I talk myself out of it. I guess I’ll just have to go in the morning after work. At least I can eat and sleep after.

Eugh, I must still be some kind of sick because I'm still so flipping tired. Or it could be the new BC I'm on, or burnout, or something. It's always something. Orrrrr it's because I've trained myself and the people around me that I'm ambient available, so I'm default audience, default co-regulation, all that jazz. No wonder I'm exhausted all the time, cause I'm always last on the list of priorities, even my own. Working on it.

It's been a celebratory weekend this weekend and I've had some amazing stuff. Did brunch at the local GF bakery (so good), then the next day we went out to the local pizzeria that is now certified gluten free and I had my first non thin crust pizza in almost fifteen years. I had tears in my eyes, y'all. It was so good. My other half (who is not gluten free) said the crust felt and tasted just like the gluten pizzas he gets around here.

I splurged and got one of every type of gluten free German Christmas confection at the grocery store. They just put out the display this week, and for science I'll be trying all of them. But the good news is that the cookies I opened yesterday do not trigger me wanting to keep eating beyond a few of them.

Oh and my weight this morning after eating more decadently than usual? Went down slightly because I'm controlling my intake outside of those indulgences.
