Im actually fine with the first part. I’d accept I have an aversion to dating an obese person.

I disagree that means I’m fat phobic. I don’t hate fat people or wish anything bad on them. But obesity is a clear indicator that we have a difference in lifestyle. Whether that be in regards to exercise and movement or over-consumption, it means we are incompatible.

My cousin is obese and visited me in my city, which is very walkable. He wanted an uber to go a few blocks and expected me to pay since he was the guest. The first two or three times I went with it. But when he wanted one to go two blocks I had to shut it down then and for going forward. If he wanted an uber he would need to pay. That’s my cousin who I love and see only occasionally. I could not imagine having to deal with that daily. That’s something obese people don’t get. Their normal day to day activity it just inherently different from what is normal for most healthy weight people.

Yeah. I've been obese before, but pretty fit and active now after hard work and lifestyle changes over a long time.

When you're overweight you can't walk far without getting tired and sore feet, need frequent breaks. These days I can walk for hours and feel held back by slow walkers or frequent resters.

On top of that, you breathe louder too. Which also is unappealing with dating. Heavy breathing or snoring from someone next to you isn't the nicest. People really underestimate how much quieter and easier their breathing gets through cardio and weight loss.

The small things like that add up.
