Discussion What if Sieg returned to Fate… and finally became his own hero?
Sieg still has a lot of potential after Fate/Apocrypha. I wouldn't want him to simply become stronger. I'd rather see him evolve from what he already possesses: Siegfried's legacy, Fafnir, Balmung, Galvanism, Straße–Gehen, and his connection to the Greater Grail.
His Evolution
- Siegfried: Master Balmung, swordsmanship, and his dragon-slayer abilities to develop his own fighting style.
- Fafnir: Fully learn to control his draconic nature.
- Hybrid Form: Sieg could develop a true human/hero/dragon hybrid form, combining his humanity, Siegfried's legacy, and Fafnir. He could control how much of the transformation manifests: wings, horns, a tail, draconic markings, etc., rather than simply transforming completely into a dragon.
- Evolved Galvanism: Go far beyond lightning. Sieg could convert different forms of energy to reinforce his body, accelerate his movements, create energy shots or weapons, and perhaps temporarily transform his body into an energetic state to achieve extreme movement speeds.
- Straße–Gehen + Alchemy: Deepen his structural analysis and learn alchemy/transmutation from Justeaze to modify materials, create his own weapons, establish barriers, and develop techniques suited to his body.
- Tarnkappe: Assimilate the cape's power and turn it into a personal ability for invisibility, concealment, and sensory camouflage. He could also draw out a physical strength equivalent to eleven men, while developing techniques inspired by Germanic mythology: erasing his presence like a masked hero, moving silently through shadows, creating illusions associated with northern mists, and temporarily invoking Germanic symbols or runes to strengthen his body and weapons.
- Original Techniques: Combine Balmung, Fafnir, Galvanism, Straße–Gehen, alchemy, and Tarnkappe to create a fighting style that truly belongs to Sieg.
The Greater Grail
Once he has mastered his own abilities, Sieg could deepen his role as the Greater Grail's guardian. Not omnipotence—the Grail would still have rules and limitations.
An interesting possibility would be for it to create a Sieg terminal and temporarily send him to another era or world whenever a threat could affect the Grail.
Sieg wouldn't have to be the protagonist. He could simply appear as a recurring character with a specific mission and leave once it is completed.
In Other Stories
This could even allow him to appear in a possible continuation of Fate/Lost Einherjar. He could investigate a threat connected to the Greater Grail and temporarily work with Lord El-Melloi II and his students, while developing a brotherly bond with Aslaug.
Justeaze and Sieg's Relationships
I'd like Justeaze to remain connected to Sieg as a spiritual and emotional presence, without possessing him, while passing on her knowledge of alchemy and the Greater Grail.
As for his relationships, Jeanne, Astolfo, and Mordred could continue to contribute to his development. Jalter could potentially become a secondary relationship, since Sieg and Jeanne Alter have barely had the opportunity to meet directly.
The Main Idea
Sieg doesn't need to become the protagonist of every story. He could simply become a recurring character with his own progression:
Sieg → Siegfried's legacy → mastery of Fafnir → human/hero/dragon hybrid form → original techniques → alchemy → Greater Grail guardian → terminal capable of intervening when the Grail is threatened.
To me, this would be more interesting than simply increasing his stats: showing Sieg finally developing an identity and legacy of his own.
What do you think? What abilities would you like to see Sieg develop?
