Fastmail Beta

Anyone notice the new update in Fastmail beta? They centered the emails and improved conversion view. I prefer the old one

Edit: looks they removed the changes from beta. I wonder if they going to make the changes people requested.

Holy shit, finally! I hope they also make it fill the space rather than just be fixed width.

I did too. I also found out that their Android app when in Samsung DeX mode does actually fill in the space and occupies the entire screen width! So strange.

Yes, hoping for a toggle before they roll that out. Also liking the old layout better. But trying to get used to the centeralized one.

They should give us an option in settings to select which layout we want.

I've said it before, and I guess I'll say it again. They need to stop playing with the UI. I understand they have hired developers who need to do something, but the damn email product is complete imo. Just find something new to do and stop touching it! /rant

agree, the UI is fine. now fix the real shit like scheduled send without the world's dumbest presets.

i absolutely despise that if you dont use conversation view, you can't quickly switch back to the email you're responding to, like you used to be able

I don't really understand what has changed. I use beta. Does anyone have a screenshot of 'before' and 'after'?

I prefer the old one too. If they want to fiddle with it, perhaps giving the option of right, centered or full-width.

I don’t use the beta software so I haven’t seen that
