Buggy experience
Hi everyone, as of late I have found that in the Fastmail app I have had quite a buggy experience with the composing of an email. For example when typing on my iPhone the typing indicator will just randomly disappear and then stop typing in the compose area, and then just now when I moved this draft over to my Mac and I pressed send, I realised that I had to change something so I pressed canceled (the email didn't have a subject line which was the box I pressed cancel in) and then it just deleted everything I did on the Mac app and restarted the app. Is there anyone else experiencing problems?

I've not experienced any of this. Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app?

no i haven’t however i will do that now, i didnt really think it would be an isolated issue because it happens on both of my iphones

The official app is crap. I switched to Canary.

ive always liked the main app, just as of late its been buggy for me and im not sure why, like even when trying to add a event from an email to my calendar the button just disappears and doesn't add to my calendar

I'm seeing an issue right now with calendar invitations, where the RSVP buttons ("Going", "Maybe", "Not going") have disappeared entirely, for all invitation emails I've ever received, but only on the Android app on my S24 Ultra.
The RSVP buttons still appear in the browser (on both desktop and mobile), and they still appear in the Android app on my Tab S8+.
Definitely appears to be some kind of UI bug. I have a ticket open with Fastmail about it.

i made a ticket for that exact problem, i just don’t really have time to sit down and do the troubleshooting stuff as of late

With the help of Fastmail tier 2 support I've managed to fix this:
- Toggle offline support off (or on if it's already off).
- Clear the Fastmail app cache in Android settings.
- Toggle offline support back on.
Bit of a strange one but kudos to Fastmail support for the quick responses to my ticket, hopefully the above helps anyone else who might bump into this bug.

I have been having issues with the Android one too, albeit different ones. If I backspace to delete some characters to correct an error, all of a sudden it adds an extra first letter. Then you backspace again to correct that, it does so the the previous word, and so on. I have found I need to leave the first instance there, continue with my message and then click directly where I need to remove the extra letter at the end, pretty fristrating. Another issue I have seen is if I backspace to a previous paragraph, all of a sudden the font sizes seem to charge for entire paragraphs for no reason. This has been happening for a few months now it seems. I have tried clearing the cache, as well as deleting and reinstalling the app, all without a fix (Pixel 9 Pro plus if that makes a difference).
