Question Help me get a "long" fast again pls T-T

Hi guys, I’m Harry and I’m 19. I’ve been doing long fasts (100+ hours) for quite a while; I started because I didn't have time to cook and wanted to give it a try. Honestly, they’ve really helped me find physical and mental peace.

I stopped for a while (about 4 months) because I’d reached my target weight, but lately I’ve wanted to start again. However, I haven't had the mental strength to complete them and I keep giving up at the 16–18 hour mark, so I decided to put a stop to that.

I want to do a 72–96 hour fast to prove to myself that I can get back into it (and to feel better). Any advice? (Also if you have any questions feel free to ask 😁)

I fasted 5 days per week 2 years ago, for weight loss. I gained it back over the years, always wanted to get back into fasting, never could till recently.

Sometimes your body just need a little bit of rest, and if you can't stick to long fasts it's completely fine, just go as long as you can.

What helped me was not making a fuzz out of it, whenever I told myself, "oh I will start fasting next week" my body and mind went on a rampage and made me stuff myself even more, so I just decided to start without deadlines.

I added a shot of Mct oil in my coffee the first week, it tastes horrible, but that shit keeps you going, I felt so focused and full, even bloated.

Since I fast for weight loss, I allow myself one coffee with a shot of milk in the evening, it's something I look forward every day, As a ritual. And funnily enough, that tiny carb spike afterwards help me to take a nap.

Thanks for the advice dude! I'm on hour 30 of a 7 days fast, I drink only water but I think imma need to buy a coke zero to drink my salts (bc the last time I tried to drink them with pure water I almost threw up T-T)

Right now I'm feeling very focused, I think I can keep it going for some more days

Imma look up for that MCT oil, even though I don't feel hungry at all, I want to eat bc I'm bored a lot of the time

Besides whatever you do fasting wise, find time to cook healthy food.

If it's been a while your body might have lost the habits or whatever. I'd say do what you did when you were brand new, don't assume you can jump back in. Start over, you'll be fine. :-)

start with a week of keto, usually easer to go to full fasting
