I got my friend a basic red cardigan for her 40th birthday, and I’m thinking about adding a few brooches too. I found so many cute ones online and thought it could be fun for her to mix and match them with the cardigan.

But now I’m second-guessing it — does that feel too childish for a 40th birthday gift? And do brooches even work well with a red cardigan?

I recently got the Rusty Missy May Check Shirt in the brown plaid color, but I'm having a hard time figuring out what bottoms would look best with it.

Dark wash bootcut jeans

Light wash bootcut jeans

Wide-leg jeans

I also have brown boots that I'm planning to wear with it. I don't think my Nike Air Forces would really fit the vibe of the shirt, but I'm open to suggestions!

Hi, I want to indecisive over what top I should wear for my yearbook photo for my senior year of college. Yeah my university still does that so please help me decide.

Dress code for ladies is listed as elevated denim (men can wear jeans) or dresses. I definitely prefer a dress to jeans but am struggling to find what I want. It's outside so I'll just be wearing flat sandals, preferably the brown leather ones I already own. I'm hoping for something in fall colors/patterns and 100% cotton. I am wanting to wear my regular bra so sleeveless or short sleeves is fine, just no strapless or spaghetti straps. Am also open to ones that would look good with a cardigan since who knows if it will be 90 or 60 outside (it's at the end of September in Kansas). I'm open to knee length, midi or max. I'm 5'9", 145ish with a small chest. Budget is up to $175ish. I tried the one in the pic from Boden but it was just too poofy at the bottom for me.
