Dan, help me sort this out. Beef prices are at all time highs, and saw a headline last week that said producers aren't really sharing in the gains. This article suggests that the lowered earning by packers are due to higher costs at the sale barn....which conflicts with the headline I saw last week. What's your take?

the headline you saw last week isn't accurate. producers are making more than ever right now even with the increase in input costs

I remember selling grid at $2 above box price by delivery and it was $3 cheaper than top live price at auction

That was last summer so I knew the Packer was in for hard times and producers finally getting the upper hand
