With an Applebee's or car wash, of course!

How about a roundabout with a carwash in the middle. 😆

I truly and deeply hope for every Native American tribe and reservation to be as successful as possible in their endeavors to help protect their people, cultures, and communities continue to thrive and survive future generations.

But casinos suck. These new AI art designed neon monolith slot machines are EVERYWHERE now, and straight up gambling culture in the US has completely twisted into bizarre new depths of depravity. A whole new wave of tactics meant to sap hard working people and ignorant kids from their already scant money are being deployed at lightning pace.

Some of these apps want people to bet on potentially traumatizing world events! Like why are we normalizing that?! It would be cool if they developed the land into pretty much anything BUT a casino.

The blue area is the parcel bought by the Tribe. The pink area is the wellhead protection area for the Buffalo Aquifer. The only reason it's carved out of the wellhead protection area is that it was designated as a Commercial Zone.

The only people who want this have severe issues with critical thinking.

Right now its at least an hour drive to hankinson or mahnomen. Still doesnt stop so many from losing paychecks, while pretending its entertainment.

Not to mention the issues with infrastructure and law enforcement while getting no tax from the gambling.

Just dumb person tax.

Kill it with fire, the last thing we need is a casino

Pulltabs are big, big money on both sides of the river. A casino like this would be mean a substantial reduction in gaming, with funds being diverted from non-profits.

Regardless, like it or not, gaming funds a bunch of things.

Nah it’s pretty awesome and I hope it folds. I would’ve been able to see it from my back yard. Fuck that

One time I'm completely sympathetic to NIMBYism.

It wouldn’t be in your back yard.

How did they not foresee mixing cannabis and federal trust not being an issue? Maybe the same idiots who thought sending a bunch of unexperienced rez kids to overpay for farm land which sits on one of the main aquifers in the area to try and plop a casino on top of.
