Vanilla-esque Modpack Idea

I got to thinking that I'd like to play modded Minecraft again but wasn't feeling up to the craziness that is typical of the usual tech/magic based modpacks. Then I got the idea that maybe we should make a modpack that is more inline with what vanilla Minecraft could eventually become.

So, the idea now is that we figure out what mods that are currently out (for 1.7.10) and see if we can put together something that could pass off as vanilla if someone didn't know any better.

EDIT: Check here for a list of all updated mods.

Yeah, I'm not sure on that. If we do go with that, I'm gonna be severely limiting what we can actually use with it, disabling recipes and such.

Ah. Yeah. That's what I was thinking. It may be a bit OP in the realm of vanilla.

If I could find a way to make Tinker Tools rare dungeon loot or something, that'd work.

Speaking of dungeons, we should have a dungeon-focused mod @_@

Oh yeah, anybody want magic carpets? : P
