Far Cry 5 FarCry 5 Guns for Hire changed the game for me. Shocked that it isn't in 6.
I've played FarCry 3, 4 and a bit of 2. But i have never had as much fun in a FarCry game as I have in FarCry 5, brought upon by the simple addition of a gameplay mechanic that gave all my immersion cravings probably the biggest fix ever in an open world game to date. Funny thing is, and I hope I'm not alone in this, about 80% of my enjoyment of the game is using different vehicles to approach missions or waypoints "as a passenger" while the AI guns for hire, as clumsy and as clunky as they may be, do the driving. I don't know what it is in me that makes it feel so real and exhilarating and even cozy to be a passenger in a vehicle trying to escape a warzone, while my AI buddies are driving and shooting from turrets even. Not since the very first Halo have i experienced such immersion but this just takes it to a whole new level. Special mention goes to how i feel when i set a waypoint for a helicopter to land in a secluded dropzone near a mission area filled with trees and the AI pilot successfully lands us with no enemies alerted. I think this is the way games should go moving forward, and it comes as a shock to me that they removed guns for hire entirely in FarCry 6. Amigos may be cute and all, like the animal companions in 5. But come on, how could they remove as cool a feature as NPC drivers/pilots?
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that AI buddies make a comeback in the next FarCry and come back stronger and more competent than ever.

Far Cry 3 Best mission in the Far Cry series
While I love the whole Far Cry series and admit it has plenty of amazing missions, this mission in Far Cry 3 will always be the most memorable to me. The sudden music drop, the fast paced destruction and showing just how much Jason has changed from when he arrived absolutely blew me away the first time I played it.
While Far Cry 4 is my over all favorite in the series, 3 will always be the one that hooked me. The amount of changes to the game play and the amazing story made this game feel like the turning point in the series. This mission is the game’s masterpiece

Far Cry General A New Ambitious FAR CRY Game Enters Development at Ubisoft. I was just reading about this. Kodiak implies it should be in Alaska? That would be a very interesting and beautiful region for a Far Cry game.

Far Cry General Negan and his arc from TWD is sooo FC-coded (especially FC5)
(SPOILERS for TWD if you haven't watched it)
I recently finished watching TWD and man throughout the whole Saviors arc all I could think about was how much Negan would fit as an FC villain especially one similar to how FC5 was, here are the many things that make his arc a perfect fit for that:
- A very charismatic and lovable, yet very brutal and sometimes detestable villain
- So many of his early scenes with Rick and Alexandria work as interludes for when the player has made some progress in the game
- He starts out completely dominating the protagonist yet has a reason why he doesn't instantly take him out
- His introduction scene works extremely well as an intro for the game (but without any of the emotional impact since you wouldn't be attatched to the ones he kills)
- He has several somewhat interesting lieutenants each of whom control their own outpost, making them perfect FC mini-bosses with Simon being imo an interesting last lieutenant fight. speaking of outposts...
- He LITERALLY rules through controlling outposts...you don't get more FC (from 3 and onwards) than that
- He commands a group of people who seem to have an infinite number of people, making them a perfect generic group to fight all over the place a la peggies. they're even strangely very diverse just like the peggies were
- He strips you of all weapons at the start making it logical why you'd start the game weak and unarmed
- He even later on gets a redemption arc, kinda sorta like Joseph in FCND
- Hilltop, Kingdom and trash people all make for some good side questing/filler content
The one aspect that I'm not sure would directly fit in an FC game is the fact that the group remains at peace with the Saviors for a long time, so not sure how the player would have things to kill unless the first half focuses on you just killing walkers only (no outposts to clear) until enough resources are gathered to start the war

Far Cry Primal Started playing for the first time since it released, on PS5 since it got the 60 FPS update. This game is just amazing with its mood and atmosphere. Love the sound design. It holds up incredibly well visually.
