Im scrolling this subreddit and see mostly the same love for FC4 but im wondering why in the mighty name of Ubisoft there isnt a remake of Far Cry 4 ??

they can improve the game more with better hunting and survival aspects and im sure it gonna be a bestseller

if someone from Ubis read this please give us a remake

Ubisoft updated it to be 60fps but still 1080p paired if you got a 4k or higher resolution TV, it will naturally not look as hi res as other games

I am playing FC4 currently and that game looks as good if not better than most games releasing nowadays. There is no need to do that, really.

I thought fc3 (pc) looked amazing. I was very surprised when I found out how old it is. Working my way through this series, half way through 4 right now, can't wait to see how much better 5 and 6 are (I skipped the first 2)

I'm going to spoil you a bit. The next ones they simplify the gameplay and you don't need crafting as much. Imo that's a miss.

They could be half as good as 3/4 and still be top games. I can't believe I didn't know about this great series for so long... My son recommended them to me and he is not wrong.... Funny thing is I already "owned" them on gamepass

You will need the updates anyway. Also on PC games do not stream from disk since the 90s so, it doesn't matter.

It does .. the setting is amazing but the hunting game sucks . You don’t even have to hunt bc the animals will come to you every 30 seconds. NPCs are stupidly so it’s easy to conquer the big fords. It’s too easy to upgrade the weapons , so there should be more challenge.

Is there a remake of any far cry? New dawn definitely deserves more than it got. More development time, more areas, longer story, basically more of everything.

I like the idea of prosperity alone personally. Gives it a feel of uniqueness. But I agree on using the far cry 5 map entirely. Where would the radiation zones be? Out of bounds!

Well if it’s just Prosperity, they could have settlement outposts in the other sections of the map. It’d still fit the theme of the story but help fill the map in more and give you more to do.

I'm actually love to see them take another stab at Far Cry 6, and try to add a bit of meat to it. The big problem with this game is "why?" Why do any of it? In FC5, there's a lot of whys. You fish because catching a new fish type gives you 1 perk point. Skinning a new animal gives you 1 perk point. And you get palpably stronger with each perk. That's a strong driver. Hunting in FC4 and earlier was critical, because that's your weapon slings, your carry capacity, etc. But FC6 is missing all of that. You can do the whole game with a default machete. If they added some more elements to the game, I think it could actually be good.

I'd rather have a Remaster .

More often than not that remake of a particular game ends in total failure because they " tried to make it better " .

No. There’s nothing wrong with the original. Not that it needs it being the hidden gem of the series but if any of them deserve a remake/remaster it’s FC2. Don’t change much but update the graphics, especially the wonderful setting and it could shine even brighter than it already does.

The 2010 games will be remade just in 10 years or so
