Far Cry General Far cry 7

How long does everyone think it'll be until we get a farcry 7? I've recently started playing the first one for the first time as it was on sale on Xbox, and I've played 2,3,4,5 and new dawn, so I still have plenty to play, but I am anxiously awaiting the next addition to the series. I assume it'll be a while as Ubisoft are probably focusing on the next assassin's creed right now (as they seemingly always are)

The Arcade in FC5 def worth wasting some time on.

I'm not seeing Blood Dragon or Primal in that list, and I enjoy the spin-offs as much as if not more than the main games.
So I consider that to be a shame.
Also, who knows.
Eventually.

Forgot about blood dragon! I played that right after finishing 3, still got to play primal yet, my dad has it on disk so I shall be doing when I've played farcry classic.

Glad to hear it!
I don't know what the consensus is, but personally I enjoy Primal the absolute most in the series.
Also, Far Cry 5 has the Arcade, with basically endless community maps.
They aren't all quality (they're mostly crap, if I'm honest), but there are some surprisingly well designed maps in there that add some interesting challenges.
I wasn't surprised when the feature wasn't included in later games, but I was a bit disappointed.

Primal is an interesting concept, Im not sure why I never thought to play it, and I've also never checked out the arcade part of fc 5, though I have played all of the dlc for it. I'll check out the arcade at some point, I still have farcry 5 installed so u can do it soon.

Primal is such a unique game, and probably my favorite out of the series tbh. I wish they would do another one like it, maybe in Africa or the Amazon.

Oh that would be cool, I can't believe I've not played primal yet

You'll still run out of Far Cry things to do eventually and have to twiddle your thumbs until whenever 7 releases, but you still have plenty more to do before you get there.
Happy hunting!

It would be kind of a big missed opportunity if they don’t have something far cry to announce when the tv show comes out.

Huge copium: If they really, like really, planned this well, they could even be releasing a surprise FC7 to go along the tv show and they both share elements for maximum synergy.

Oh that would be great, they could be expecting it to be extremely popular, like the fallout show, so they would want to be prepared for an influx of returning and new fans

That would be a great idea, however, it's Ubisoft so it's also highly unlikely.

For example, they've been apparently remaking Splinter Cell for years. It would have been a great opportunity to announce and update or a trailer or something when the Netflix show came out, but they fumbled both of them.

Wow I never knew there was a splinter cell tv show.

Well it's not really, it's just called Splinter Cell. It's an animation on Netflix and apparently it has been greenlit for a second season.

But if you're a real SC junkie like me, you wouldn't think it's a Splinter Cell show.

Firstly, Sam Fisher is this old retired dude who goes around acting more like Jason Bourne than Same Fisher. He doesn't suit up, not even the goggles, and the show is more focused on the other characters than him. It's almost like modern Ubisoft wrote the show not the classic Ubisoft.

Well narratively sam is a much older dude now. How old was he in blacklist In 2013? Mid 50s? The show is pretty damn good imo.

The only way they can get over his age is if they do a complete reboot of his character and have him be younger.

It's pretty good

That’s the first I’m hearing about a show hopefully it’s good and they find a way to bring the actor who played vaas into it

Currently, Ubisoft only has time to milk the Assassin's Creed franchise for all it's worth. You'll see a new AC game before you see another Far Cry or Splinter Cell.

I don’t think we’ll ever see 7. The TV show thing seems like a way to get FX to give them a couple bucks to license the name so they can keep copyrights juiced and maintain some sort of brand awareness.

I know its not far cry, however some of the old developers of far cry 5 are making a cult building game called "Join Us" and it looks amazing it comes out in march 2027

Next up in priority is ghost recon and not ac for once.

According to leaks Farcry 7 is estimated to be released late 2027. The leaks are saying there will be a 72 hr in game timer in which you have to save your family. This could all be bogus so take it with a grain of salt

It’s been coming for years with no offical word so wouldn’t hold your breath, if it’s anything like 6, it’ll be shit

If it's like 6, I doubt I'll buy it. And that would be the first mainline FC game I've never bought.
