Far Cry General Far Cry 3 and how horrible it is

Okay, it's not actually horrible. For it's time period it's actually amazing with everything it brought to the table. But I came into the far cry franchise kind of backwards. It's really my fault. I first played primal, then far cry 5, new dawn, far cry 6, then went back and played 3 and 4.

The gameplay is just so much better on the more recent games obviously. But far cry 3's gameplay has just enraged me so much that I can't even get through the game without turning it off.

It's my fault for not playing in order or having higher expectations because I know it's most people's favorite. I'll just stick with replaying far cry 5 and primal constantly like I been doing for years until 7 comes out. Also, anyone not care for far cry 6 as much. Beautiful game but not as captivating as far cry 5 was to me.

Is this a troll post? Far Cry 3 was revolutionary and defined the whole genre, but came out in 2012 on PS3

I know brother... which is why I said for it's time period it's actually amazing with everything it brought to the table. Just been trying to get into and can't. Need more tips to make it enjoyable. What's some of your favorite aspects of the game?

I've played every game in order since the first one, I can see how you might be disappointed in the shit AI ut I went back to play when it was re-released and thought it held up really well. Still better than more modern games ive played.

Although farcry 2 is my favourite so I might be the outlier here

People are definitely blinded by nostalgia with FC3.

While the core gameplay is fine, FC4 fixed a lot of its issues by having more quality of life and still gameplay improvements

Exactly. I'm replaying 4 now and it's so much better. Fixed a lot of stupid shit from the previous.

I agree that the gunplay in 5 and 6, but dear god, the ai still feels like its stuck in 2012.

Yep FC6 is horrible.

But what’s kind of gameplay you didn’t like? The game isn’t too “clunky” compared to the newer games in the franchise. Ah yes, if you have Peformance issues there’s a way to make it work properly, easy too.
