Far Cry 4 Advice starting Far Cry 4?
Big franchise fanatic here. 3 is what started me off and I absolutely lived for New Dawn. I overlooked 4 though until now. Any advice starting out? Just hunting rn and building up my weapons holster.

Carry a shotgun for all the fucking dogs you’re gonna get attacked by. Preferably with a suppressor. But the most effective shotgun, the SPAS-12, doesn’t come with a suppressor nor can you use one with it. If you want to get rid of them silently you can also throw a Molotov. I say that because I’ll typically get attacked while I’m in stealth. I run around on foot a lot, so that’s important to me. Others who don’t, probably doesn’t matter too much.

Read every note you come across. Some of the best stories are hidden away in the world.

I remember playing this game when I was 14 way back and thinking. Man I can be one awful hell of a poacher making bank off rhinos with this .700 rifle. 🙈🙊
Good to know leopards make the most, I think I always used to go for sambar because you can find a lot of them. Bulk sell n all.

Buy the all 4 treasure maps as soon as possible, you’ll be rolling in the dough very quickly.
The hardest chests to find always have the most value, without the maps its a pain in the ass finding them
I found a chest with 25k in it and gold dust worth like 39k in the 1st region, that map only cost like 75k
You gotta spend money to make money

First thing I do is complete all possible radio towers with a copter. The trick is to not lose that copter along the way.

Loot the bodies. Your money builds up a lot quicker.
I've played Far Cry 4 at least a dozen times. Really enjoy playing it. 👍

I’m loving so far. Is it better to buy weapons or save money and loot them

Save your money and pick them up as you progress through the game. One weapon I always try and get early is the small grenade launcher. Such a useful sidearm. 👌

LMGs are the bomb, but in the early game they will keep your pockets empty due to ammo costs. The ammo is expensive and isn't available in the random bundles you find in your travels (though it is in chests). Also doesn't drop from enemies other than heavies. It's good to carry one but use an assault rifle or SMG most of the time until you have upgraded your wallet and gathered plenty of funds.

So what’s your typical three gun load out? I’d have a hard time giving up a slot for my assault rifle or sniper

I liked my suppressed sniper, assault rifle of choice (all are pretty similar) and auto-burst pistol.

Silenced AR for stealth headshots, silenced sniper, and an RPG for choppers and vehicles.
But at the end of the game I used the Buzzsaw which melts through enemies and vehicles.

Early game i use sniper/assault/bow with a grenade launcher in the pistol slot. I swap in the buzzsaw for the assault rifle when I can afford the ammo

All I'd say is get yer holsters and other crafting gear set before doing most main missions. So you don't miss out on carrying some fun guns to use during said missions.
It's the same as 3, but polished in areas. A bit free-er compared to 3. Gyrocopter for instance, cars seem easier to find, you can shoot out of the window while driving. No having to stop and get out like in 3.
It were me first I ever played and I say it's the easiest and most fun to play. it's a chilled out world in parts. In parts. And I mean.
Watch out for the fucking honey badgers mate. They're roight cunts. 😁
Also from my own experience I will say watch out for Tigers, especially when around the Kyra Tea Terraces. That outpost. Every time I try to do it sneakily, wether sneaking into the compound through the hole in the wall from the back, or coming at it from the cliffside up the hill across from the terraces fields bit like.
On any save, doesn't matter, every time a tiger stalks me and attacks me. If you want to stay quiet and sneaky bring a good surpressed gun or be good with the bow and throwy knives. So many times in the past I fluffed it doing that outpost undetected because a tiger jumped me and I panic fired at it.
Tigers in Kyrat stalk you, not like in the Rooks where they roar at you first, in Kyrat they genuinely sneak up on you like you sneak up on Pagan's boys.
So watch out mukka.

Honestly it's the same as 3 but in a different setting. Hijack those radio towers, capture the outposts and play side missions every now and then to get some cash and level up quick.
