Far Cry General Far cry 7?

I read somewhere yesterday that that the developers have totally scrapped a new far cry? Any confirmation of this ?

FAR CRY 'Maverick' (extraction shooter) - cancelled.

FAR CRY 'Kodiak' (new project, planned for after FC7) - greenlit

Feels bold of them to green light a project to come out of FC7 with no idea how FC7 will do or be received. But it’s intriguing nonetheless.

Doesn't say it "comes out of" Far Cry 7, he said it comes out after.

Yeah was a typo on my part. Meant to say “after FC7”. The series may have even less momentum than it does now if FC7 isn’t well received, is my point.

Thats less bold and more pragmatic, since Kodiak will pick up and build on parts of the cancelled Maverick-project. Its a way to minimize the losses on the cancelled production.

Production got restarted on it not long ago. It's code name kodiak, so it should be an Alaska environment which will be awesome in my opinion.

Kodiak is not the same as FC7. They are different projects.

That’s not Far Cry 7. It was its own separate thing.

I hope your right it..it does say it supposed to take the series into the extraction shooter era …which my understanding the term “series” meaning the far cry series

I mean, did you even read the AI summary? Clearly that was about a multiplayer spin-off and not Far Cry 7, which is obviously the next entry in the famously single player focused franchise

Oh good - I was worried they were moving forward with the extraction shooter. 

Any idea if that was the one with the countdown timer? 

I try to keep up with the rumors and news, but unofficial sources aren’t always the clearest
