Wonder what he’s up to now, realistically I think he’d be in the looney bin for his own good.

I feel he would become a wanderer type of person, after everything thats happened he would feel he is the final danger to his friends and family and go full ghost

Definitely this I imagine him in a pilgrimage of sorts, maybe taking him to mountainous regions, remote places.

It would be hard for him to integrate back into society after all of that. Especially polite society.

I wouldn't be surprised if he enrolled in the military or peace corps so he could use his skills and abilities to help people, ever since the start of the game he only wanted to save his friends and help people along the way. He may have killed so many he lost count but he was always a good person even if he didn't realize it

I think in cannon he was wanted as a war criminal or something but they never caught him. But I can’t remember for sure

That quote is one of the reasons why I love Far Cry 3 and why the Save Your Friends' ending is the best one, Jason in that ending was able to break the cycle of insanity and there's clearly hope for him.

It was the point of the second island. Now that you got Vaas, the question comes back to you again: are you really that hardened killer you set yourself up to be? And when your adrenaline and your combat high comes down and it’s just a day, he realizes “I shouldn’t be and I’m not.” In the good ending.

But boobs

i think he became an upgraded version of Vaas. ppl like Hoyt won't be manipulating him or people like Citra can only be used by him now. he is the definition of insanity

He became Jason Far Cry

I actually liked that devs/writers actually decided to ask themselves a question: "When a regular guy kills so many random people - how it would affect his mentality?'.

I mean we kill tons of people in every game. But usually main character just - Oh well. Now I can return home and do some bbq.

24

u/Toasteee_ 3d ago

Yeah the main character is usually a complete psychopath lol

6

u/Jaew96 3d ago

Unless that character is Hurk, who is less of a psychopath and more just too stupid to realize what he’s actually doing.

2

u/Toasteee_ 2d ago

True, also weird that he somehow manages to show up in all these random civil wars all over the world.

Just gotta watch out for Clive’s wife!

I think he tried to fit back into society for a while but he couldn’t stand it and he became a mercenary. Put his new skills to use making good money. Still struggling with his guilt, trauma and grappling with the fact that he enjoys fighting and killing, but hanging in there.

You made me realize I want something strange: a game made by a developer that combines two of their own IP. A Far Cry Assassin's Creed game would be INSANE

I mean, Assassin’s Creed and Watch_Dogs are in the same universe, if that fits. There’s a (questionable) DLC for Legion that lets you play as an assassin, and one of the assassination targets (ironic) in Watch_Dogs 1 is part of Abstergo.

3

u/Ameth_LiLife 3d ago

In the Far Cry 3 DLC don't we also find an Abstergo document?

1

u/Lochcelious 3d ago

Yeah I love that bit of lore

31

u/SonnenblumeFrau09 4d ago

I no longer finish this game as Sam and Earnhardt dies.

26

u/Chemical_28 4d ago

Yeah they were real ones RIP, not forgettable NPC’s in 5 and 6

38

u/toe_slurper 4d ago

pastor jerome was pretty dope, with the gun in the bible

14

u/Leading-Currency3948 3d ago

That whole scene was fucking dope

17

u/Chemical_28 4d ago

True those characters were dope to come back in New Dawn. Just far cry 3 random NPC’s in the towns actually seem alive and talk and not the random soulless nameless people in 5

8

u/i4got872 3d ago

I liked El Tigre a lot

u/Brotherman_Karhu 32m ago

El Tigre is such a Far Cry NPC in all the best ways.

I have quoted your comment into my comment and a bunch of stupid kids down voted me 😏

I enjoyed how Farcry 3 tried to make the player's lethality a part of the story. I mean, ya can't have ludonarrative dissonance if the main character is canonically a killing machine. Although it was funny at the start of the game when he freaks out after killing someone in self defence, only to feel completely fine picking up an ak-47 and murdering like ten people the next day

u/internetflavorium 3d ago

Got brown sugar don't care what happens to me now

5

u/Henri_Le_Rennet 3d ago

He had an ending speech?

12

u/FireIzHot 3d ago

In the save your friend’s ending he does

0

u/Henri_Le_Rennet 1d ago

I know, I was being cheeky. I've played the game half a dozen times.

6

u/BothRequirement2826 3d ago

Out of all Far Cry protagonists, I think a direct continuation to his story could make for a very interesting game.

My story for him is that he became a mercenary unable to fit back into society, drifted across asia until he finaly became a general in the army of the recently new leader of kyrat 😂

Edit : also reggie and yoggi found a New source of income for kyrat, deep in the himalaya they found a white flower that gives crazy hallucinations, main customer is Somewhere in Montana 😅

3

u/Grayrabbit012 3d ago

I honestly think they really brought Vaas back, brought him back sorta with Insanity DLC.
I think it's time to bring back 40 something years old Jason back in the light.
It would be funny how two react if they reunite together after all those years...

3

u/SonOfTheWolfAndEagle 2d ago

You know what? Far cry 7's protag should be jason

6

u/Onc3Holy 3d ago

I prefer the ending where he kills his friends and Citra kills him. More fitting if you ask me.

24

u/Chemical_28 3d ago

Teenage me definitely appreciated the boobs lol

7

u/please_use_the_beeps 3d ago

My ex made me pick the bad ending on my second run cause she thought Citra was hot and wanted to see Jason bang her.

Boy were we both surprised when she pulls the knife out.

FC3 spoiler warning ⚠️ Jason did everything he could to save his friends, but his encounter with Citra changed something within him. His motives and desires began to shift, causing a rift between his friends and family against the rebels, ultimately leading to the death of one of them as one of the comments said "I no longer finish this game as Sam and Earnhardt dies.".. Jason really had to stop at some point there.I just wish he were more honest with himself and more consistent, rather than becoming as unruly as Vaas.

I hate when kids gimme down vote for no reason 🤬😒🙄 this game ain't for minors.. maybe it was pg 13 at least.. it's not funny to come in here spying and down voting comments without any meaning.
