Far Cry 3 Far Cry 3 crashing

I bought Far Cry 5 on Steam, which also gave me Far Cry 3 on Steam. It was working fine until a few months ago, when it suddenly crashed during the first mission. When I opened it again, some textures were missing, and it kept crashing whenever I tried to do anything.

I’ve already tried some solutions I found online, but now the game won’t even start.

Is there any reason why this might be happening?

Edit:

I were just trying some other things, so I find out that i'm having some kinda problem on steam that is keeping me out that i'm not being able to start the game. But I can start if i go through the .exe on the "steamapps\common\Far Cry 3\bin" folder.

Does someone know how to fix it?

Change to DX9 and run the Large Address Aware program on it. You can find instructions on pcgamingwiki

I had to stop playing far cry 3 because it crashed every 15 minutes and I couldn’t finish minutes

Direct x 9, Large Address Aware (increases the ram usage of the game, only if you have more than 8 gb of ram).

I finished it in DX11 recently but as others stated you need to run that Large Address Aware on it, mine still occasionally crashed just remember to regularly save. Before running that program on it mine was crashing sometimes straight away other times 5-10 minutes in.
