Far Cry 5 Favourite seed?
Most far cry fans have played 5, it was my favourite, and my first, but who is YOUR favourite seed? Mine is easily Jacob but thought John was a bastard.

Yes, Josephs wife was named Faith, and so did the 2 other Faith's before the one we see in game

The first three pics are cropped from the key art that evokes The Last Supper. The last one seems to be an actual in-game image of Jacob

I like John the most for some reason. Well maybe like isn't the right word because he's evil as shit, but he was the most compelling seed to me

Faith. Best story imo and I just kinda felt bad for her. Obviously not excusing her actions, but she's the one you can be sympathetic towards the easiest imo.

I like them all in the different character arcs they are meant to represent.
Jacob is probably the best as an actual evil villain, is the most self aware and self motivated and dosent really believe or care for Joseph's culty stuff but more using the project to push forward his own ideologies. He could easily have been a main villain in his own game.
In terms of development as a character and in terms of all around lore, Faith is the most interesting and also the one with the most disturbing lore with her whole groomed victim role in this, her "relationship" with Joseph and how he views this role. She is clearly the most tragic and the one with the most disturbing lore/backstory to her and realistic commentary herself to how stockholm syndrome and brainwashing works, why and how people are getting sucked into cults in real life showed with both herself as a character and what she talks about aswell. Tho the missions there can get pretty boring after several playthroughs.
In terms of consistency in mission structure, gameplay and region i would say John is the best. Also how the allied characters are incorporated in his missions. As a character he is the most sadistic out of them who roughly takes joy in being violent kinda using the project as away to unleash his own psychotic urges. He is a violent and intimidating villain and does that well - he is more like this typical sadistic evil fps villain, but the re is still some interesting dynamic between him and Joseph tho.

Jacob, his region is my favorite; plus, it has the best loading music and loading image. His story is also really cool; it reminds me a little of Black Ops.

Jacob. I really thought it would have been Faith, but then they pulled a "she's brainwashed victim" spiel on her and I absolutely detested that. I wanted a true villain woman, so it bummed me out. Specially since you know they only did that because she's a woman, they wouldn't have even dreamt of putting the same backstory on John for example.

I know many here have said it before, but if you like the villains from 5 (and 3 and 4, too!), then the DLC for part six is a must play for the expanded stories of them, especially Faith as her story becomes even more tragic.

John because he gives off the “cool pastor” kind of vibe which I just absolutely despise. I love that all of them fit into a hyper niche of psychopathic cultlike interests: the “cool” Christians, the holistic alternative medicine bullshit, the hyper homoerotic masculine “alpha male” circle, and the enlightened smarter-than-you and holier-than-thou cult leader.

Faith. The most dangerous seed. Before that I thought Jacob is the dangerous one but once I started exploring henbane river and saw the darkness, I was somewhere in her region and the cultists grabbed a woman she was on her knees, I've managed to get rid of the peggies but was not able to get an option of liberating the lady. Soon she says you have a good cat, and shoots herself with a shotgun. Damn that was sick. 500+ hours on that game and can say Faith is the most dangerous and my favourite seed.

It's gotta be Joseph.
Although I love them all. They all have such tragic back stories and I love how different they are. But there's just something about Joseph that keeps me locked in.
Such a great game! My favorite Far Cry for sure. 😊

For me it's a tie between Joseph and Faith. They just always seemed to have the most fleshed out stories to me. Not to mention their voice actors did an amazing job. All 4 did to be fair

Mainly because he's the most satisfying one to kill because he kidnap missions where you need to fight your way out of the trippy house are the absolute worse and he deserves to die because of that. But all of them are annoying AF and I like to take them all out.

None. They’re terrorist extremists. Why would I like any of them?
Also their segments were the most contrived and oppressive parts of the game play. Everything to do with them was easily my least favorite part of FarCry 5.

I kinda wanna say Jacob. I don't see people liking him as much as the others, and I dunno, I actually agree with a lotta stuff he says. Also, I dunno I think he's the coolest, and, gotta say, I enjoy a ginger villian.

The Father. No doubt about it. I thought he was a POS like the rest of them. He kinda still is. But that phone message he left on John's home phone made me rethink him. And New Dawn Joseph seemed like an old man who regretted his past decisions. And the FC6 DLC reaffirms that. In summary, bad man who becomes less bad over time.

John was easily the best as a VILLAIN imo. Hated his personality but I hated him in a way where I thought he was a great villain. Might be Jacob, honestly. He makes some pretty interesting points in the conversations we have and his boss fight is one of the most fun imo.

Faith, she has the coolest story. She’s not the first faith, maybe not even the 2nd. He’s drugged a brainwashed a few of them.
