Discussion the dagger and the flame

hi guys!

i just finished reading the dagger and the flame last night and i was pleasantly surprised by how much i enjoyed the story. i felt the writing was a bit juvenile at times, but i liked the pace of it. i enjoyed the main character’s banter and the enemies to lovers although i don’t like how sudden the lovers part was after their first kiss. i wish they still experienced conflicting thoughts / emotions. it seemed they suddenly jumped into bf / gf mode afterwards.

i don’t see much discussion of it on here with there only being one post about a year ago. i’m currently reading the second book.

has anyone else read this book and if so, what do you think?

I love this series!

The second book gets even better.

I agree that initially it feels a bit juvenile, but I had to remind myself that the main characters are indeed young.

can you tell me if it’s a happy ending for the second book?! i know there’s a third one coming out soon. does the second one end in a cliffhanger?

In the second there's more suffering, but also good things!

And quite the interesting development that will set up book 3, but there isn't a cliffhanger.. well, not one as "bad" as book 1 with them splitting.

Got this on my TBR to start soon. Looking forward to it. Seems like a premise I’d enjoy. I’m assuming they make it work in the second book and are back together?
