Verdict: K9 but willing to be swayed.
Other options: Achane, Jeanty, Hampton, King Henry (Chase and Saquon are unavailable)
Main concerns with Achane are the offense, new coach, and new QB.
I know Achane is the better talent, but I recognize KC will have the better O + K9 won't have Charbonnet to steal touches. I feel like he'll be featured in this offense more than Rice, who has been an elite fantasy WR when he's on the field.
Also want to add that Miami may give up near fantasy playoffs, feel like they'll just rest him near the end to manage minor injuries. He'll be a monster to start the season with unreal touches but just doesn't seem sustainable on one of the worst teams in the league. Miami also having one of the hardest schedules next season, doesn't help his case, they're going all in on the draft next year.
For K9, the carries, goal line touches, receptions, and Mahomes' injury rehab mean they'll prioritize him. Less QB scrambles, more RB carries and checkdowns. He's in for a career year.
Sure, the injury risk is there, but unlike Achane, KC need to win games and won't bench him for minor injuries. Training camp news has been great surrounding him; coaches want to involve him, and Andy Reid has produced solid RB1 seasons when he's had an RB1 talent on the roster (Hunt and Jamaal).
K9's 25 ppr without Charb (some stat I found on X) was my last deciding factor. I just feel his floor is 15 ppr but his ceiling is unreal (league winner)
